So, we ordered a couple of drinks, one a plain matcha latte, the other a pumpkin matcha latte. The taste of Matcha was real strong as expected, but the prices were pretty ridiculous.

Cha Cha Matcha, nestled in the heart of New York City, is a haven for matcha enthusiasts and those seeking a unique and refreshing twist on beverages. From the moment you walk in, you're greeted by the vibrant, tropical-inspired decor that instantly uplifts your mood.

What sets Cha Cha Matcha apart is its dedication to high-quality matcha. Whether you prefer it in a latte, iced, or in one of their creative concoctions, you can count on the matcha here to be both robust in flavor and beautifully presented. The balance of earthy, slightly bitter notes with a hint of sweetness makes each sip an absolute pleasure.

The menu offers a variety of options to cater to different tastes. If you're looking for a caffeine boost, their matcha lattes are a must-try, and the matcha soft-serve ice cream is a delightful treat, especially on a warm day.

What's equally impressive is the friendliness and efficiency of the staff. They're more than willing to explain the menu and even recommend personal favorites.

Beyond the beverages, Cha Cha Matcha serves delectable pastries and light bites that complement the matcha experience perfectly. The matcha-infused goodies, like their matcha croissants and doughnuts, are a testament to their commitment to incorporating matcha into every aspect of their menu.

In a city known for its diverse culinary offerings, Cha Cha Matcha stands out as a unique and enjoyable destination for anyone looking to savor the world of matcha. Whether you're a devoted matcha enthusiast or a newcomer to this delightful green tea, a visit to Cha Cha Matcha is sure to leave you with a memorable and...

Very disappointing experience. I visited Cha Cha Matcha on June 18th, 2025 at 6:40 PM, only to be greeted not by staff, but by frustrated customers leaving the shop, saying they were no longer serving. Despite the official closing time being 7:00 PM (as listed on Google Maps), the two girls working the counter completely ignored me at first when I approached to order. When I persisted, one finally turned to me and snapped, “We’re closed, we’re not making any more drinks.”

Several other customers arrived around the same time and were also turned away. They effectively closed at least 20 minutes early, with no explanation or apology, and treated people who made the effort to come (some from far away) with blatant rudeness.

As a NYC local, I’ve seen my fair share of trendy spots, but I have no patience for places that think hype is enough and can’t even meet basic standards of customer service. This kind of behavior is unacceptable and unprofessional. I won’t be returning, and I wouldn’t recommend this...

Cha Cha Matcha takes their matcha very seriously—which is great if you also take your matcha very seriously. If not, maybe don’t start here. The matcha nitro latte is intense (in a good way, if you’re into that sort of thing). It’s bold, earthy, and definitely not trying to taste like dessert. I liked it a lot. Your mileage may vary.

They use an electric matcha whisk, which feels like watching a traditional tea ceremony get sponsored by a tech startup. Kind of cool, kind of unnecessary, but hey—it works.

The coconut-almond milk mix is a nice touch. Creamy without being heavy, healthy without tasting like regret.

The baristas are sweet and helpful, even when the line’s long and someone’s asking if “matcha has caffeine” for the fourth time.

The place itself is tiny, so don’t expect to post up with a laptop. It’s more of a stand awkwardly near the counter, take a sip, and leave kind of vibe.

Great matcha, not great...

I do not give bad reviews but I do need to share for this place as my experience here was just so awful. When I tried to five cash, the girl behind the register said card, card, a few times instead of explaining politely that they do not accept cash. I asked for a receipt on the pay screen and she threw it away. I ordered yuzu lemonade for my son and hot macha for me. I also ordered a croissant which was very much over-baked, un-edible. The only okay thing I had was a hot macha. I brought the croissant that I had one bite of to the employee and she said they get it from somewhere, that is how they make it so there is nothing she can do. Just rude from beginning to the end. I drank about half of the macha tea and threw everything away after a sip and a bite.
