Greenpoint — Local services in New York

We stayed about 2 blocks from the Greenpoint Pier and used this Ferry 3 times during our visit to NYC. It was so frequent, easy and fast! It costs $4 per ride. Plus, you get to be outside, watching the NY skyline during the 7 minute trip across to 34th St pier in Manhattan, instead of being underground crowded in a subway for 30+ minutes! There is a shuttle from the pier you can take into Midtown, but it's about as fast to walk the few blocks, due to traffic.
