Akura ramen & sushi — Restaurant in New York

I've had food from here 3. Times and I love it. My new favorite place on the UES

First time, I ordered take out. Everything was so fresh. The sushi was really good and fresh. Also their octopus and calamari was delicious. The prices were very reasonable, you'll pay the same or even a little more for Chinese take out (which is definitely not as fresh). They even gave us free edamami.

We decided to check the place out in person. The restaurant has very nice decor (nothing fancy but much nicer than a typical take out restaurant).

I ate delicious ramen and my husband got a really tasty and very fresh poke tuna bowl.

Top place in the city for 2 reasons: the house poke bowl was popping with flavor and the ingredients tasted very fresh. And even better - they included a small free appetizer with a request for a review - rather than paying a huge company to generate fake reviews for them. I haven’t seen a restaurant do something as honest and kind as that in years. If we weren’t moving tomorrow this would 100% be our new go to place.

I went to the restaurant to make an order to go and the lady at the entrance was very nice and explained me the menu. The prices are more than fair and the food was really good, i was pleasantly surprised by the fish/rice ratio in the rolls!! My favorites were the spicy salmon crunch.
