While it appears to be tailored for kids, Hapik Industry City's indoor climbing gym is made for both kids and adults! There are tons of themed climbs for everyone to try. The best part: each walls have an easy, medium, and hard mode. Therefore, you can adjust the difficulty of your climb to whichever you want.
Not only does they have fun, challenging climbs, but there is also a Pirate's Walk-the-Plank and an rope course. The Walk-the-Plank is a simple climb to a lone board, where you'll take a leap of faith. As for the rope course, you'll walk up to the upper level and choose between the long route or short route.
The only issue I have is the crowd. Hapik does a wonderful job with safety! Each wall have their own safety mats that lets climbers know when a wall is in use. However, since most patrons are kids, they tend to wander and forget this rule. Therefore, just be careful and aware of the other climbers around.
By the way, you do not need a lock as the lockers have their own electronic locks! Just bring a small bag as the lockers are not that big. I recommend buying your own climbing shoes as they do not provide one. If you do not have, just wear comfortable sneakers. As a final warning, just be careful when rappelling down the rope. You may injure yourself, so take it nice and slow! Other than...
Read moreA lot of fun. First visit. Had to wait a few minutes, but fast check-in. 2 different obstacle courses (on second floor) along with so many different wall climbing options. Some delays on obstacle courses though when a really young kid is scared and doesn’t want to continue (and the parent is not helping them!). Some kids also get stuck on the zipline since not perfectly angled down due to ceiling height so may zip back a few feet so need to make sure you commit to it and grab the rope at the end. Workers are all good and will help when requested. They have free square cubbies for your bags/coats, an ice cream vending machine ($6), bathroom across from waiting area first floor, also seating on second floor. They also have locked lockers I assume you have to pay for, but I was able to climb and move around fine with zipped pockets. We were in a tee shirt so it wasn’t too cold nor hot inside. There was one hard climb a bit close to a corner wall and when I landed I stumbled back about 2 steps and my left upper tailbone hit the corner (ouch) of the unpadded wall so I have a bit of swelling there (hopefully will feel better tomorrow). Would have been fine if it was a flat wall. I informed a worker who said she will let the mgr know so hopefully they will pad that...
Read moreCame to Hapik to celebrate my son’s birthday with a few friends. We didn’t do a birthday package because it was under the 10 kids minimum so I simply purchased regular tickets for my sons and their friends and brought along some cupcakes. We went in the late afternoon/evening and it was perfect! The sessions are rotated so it’s never overcrowded and there are so many things to do there is never anyone waiting for a wall to climb. The eating space is huge so you aren’t confined to standing or cramming in anywhere. The soft play is a great idea however like any play places, parents don’t supervise their kids so you have older ones running down the little ones or throwing blocks down the slide. Even though I paid for the soft play we just avoided it. My 3.5 year old was more entertained by watching and cheering on his brothers who were climbing. The belay system is easy to use and the ropes course on top is awesome to watch! A few tears from a few of the kids but they mustered up the courage and made it through. The ticket prices are affordable and definitely worth it given you get a whole 90 minute session. We...
