What a fantastic experience from start to finish! I was looking for a tattoo studio closer to home and was excited to see that InkCrafters was just a short walk away. Even better—they had stellar reviews. I checked out their pictures on Google and Instagram and was really impressed by what I saw on Google, the studio's pictures, and the individual artist's pictures. I'd been given the runaround in the past with other studios while trying to get a quote or make an appointment over the phone or via email, so I didn't get my hopes up—but I sent them a DM over Instagram and was pleasantly surprised when the owner, CJ, got back to me that same day. He was incredibly professional and super nice—gave me a quote on the spot, and I was able to make an appointment for that same weekend. The quote was flat and simple. None of this flat fee plus by the hour nonsense that you can't wrap your head around. It was truly a fair price for the work that he did, which was $250. When I arrived. again from start to finish—everything went smoothly—and I felt like he went above and beyond to make me comfortable. I'd sent CJ a picture of what I wanted, and his interpretation of it was amazing. It was something deep in my head and heart that I would've never been able to put into words to explain to him myself. Even though I'd gotten tattoos before, I really appreciated the thought and care that he put into the process, like letting me know when he was going to start and stopping periodically to make sure that I was OK. There was another artist there who was also super friendly, and the ambiance was just super chill like being at a friend's house—exactly what you'd want while you have a needle moving around in your skin. I can't recommend InkCrafters enough! I had a fantastic session, and I'm looking forward to going back in the future. PS—I want to give CJ credit for taking the photo below!

I was searching for a trustworthy tattoo artist, and I wanted to find someone who has tattooed Black skin before. I rejoiced when my cousin (also Black) sang her praises about the tattoo she had gotten from CJ. Setting up the appointment was super easy. My best friend and I made an Instagram group chat with him, told him what we were thinking of getting, and discussed the general price range. Once we set a date, we paid a $30 down-payment and were ready to go! As this was my first official tattoo, I had a lot of questions leading up to it, and CJ was so welcoming. He responds quickly and honestly, and he makes you feel reassured. The studio was relatively easy to find. It was so clean and professional. CJ took all of the necessary safety and sanitary precautions. He was super reassuring when I was nervous about the pain, and it honestly didn't hurt an insane amount. He got both tattoos done in less than an hour, which was absolutely incredible. The tattoo has healed so well, even though I got it right before the summer. 10/10 would recommend getting tatted by CJ at InkCrafters!

I had three pieces done as part of Jessie’s August flash sale, and the entire experience was amazing. We had planned them a month in advance, and when I needed to reschedule she was so flexible and accommodating. She even fit my friend in, which made the day extra special. Jessie’s professionalism stood out at every step — her station was spotless, her linework and shading are so clean and precise, and she even sent me home with a thoughtful aftercare bag. On top of that, she’s warm and easy to be around — after we had been talking about documentaries, she even put on "Unknown Number" on Netflix for us, which made the session feel relaxed and personal. Despite the fact that I’m moving away, I’ll absolutely book with her again whenever I’m back in town. Jessie combines incredible artistry with genuine kindness — I can’t recommend her enough.

First off, the vibes are amazing in there. I got a chest piece and from the very beginning, CJ made me feel extremely comfortable. Especially being such an intimate area. I went in person for a consultation and he Took his time going over all my questions and was so patient because I was a little indecisive. He didn’t make me feel bad for not knowing exactly what I wanted, he actually was the one who helped me decide what I wanted. We finally picked what we both thought would look best. He showed me what it would actually look like on my own chest which was actually so cool. The actual tattooing experience was an even better experience. CJ is so skilled and you can tell he takes his time and doesn’t rush and is proud of his work. His line work is the best I have ever seen and it healed so beautifully. It’s such a beautiful piece, it’s my favorite tattoo to show off. It was a tattoo to cover up a scar I was very insecure about and he turned my insecurity into something I’m proud to show off. I can’t wait to go back and finish it. As for the shop itself- They played good music and made it fun the entire time. The shop is extremely clean and sanitary. They really do their best to make you feel comfortable and make sure you have a great day. I really don’t have not one bad thing to say about CJ, the shop or my tattoo. It was the best experience from beginning to end and I will absolutely keep coming back. Thank you so much to CJ &...
