Bagel Pub — Restaurant in New York

Horrible customer service, the worst experience here . I ordered a delivery through grubhub and my order was left at the wrong address. This is not the first time that this has happened but I wanted to give them the benefit of the doubt that it was not the restaurant itself that was the issue. I had called to address this when it occurred in the past and I was told that they could not assist me because the order was placed through a delivery platform so I would have to contact grubhub. So today when it happened again , I did what they had told me to do in the past and contacted grubhub directly about my order. Grubhub told me they would process a cancellation because my order was no where to be found. Minutes after I got off the phone with grubhub I receive a call from Bagel Pub , with a women yelling at me for the cancellation. She was yelling at me saying because of me they weren’t going to get their money, and that I should have called them not grubhub so that they wouldn’t loose money. No matter how much I tried to explain that I did not receive my order and that i was following their instructions she did not care all she cared to say was I was loosing them money. Let me just start off by saying that I experienced a very rude staff. The girl up front have very poor attitudes . I don’t understand how they can be hired to work there when clearly customer service should be of the upmost importance. They are a representation of the work place . I tell you after I placed my order I quickly regretted it just because these girls had such a discriminative attitude. After I received my bagel , that I must say I paid way to much for , it did not taste well because it had been toasted to much . To be honest , I wouldn’t have complained about the bagel if the workers knew how to be kind Ana polite and attentive to their customers. But because they aren’t , it made me eating that hard , burnt bagel that much worse . Because of this experience, I refuse to go there and give you my business . As a recommendation, get rid of those nasty workers upfront . Don’t just hire girls for their looks . Hire them for their customer service skills . Hire them because they know how to smile at someone and because they will treat everyone with respect and courtesy. So sorry to say you have lost a customer with me and my children and boyfriend. ok so i walk by this spot all the time and decided to get some bagels for my gf and friends. bought 4 bagels 1 lox 1 .butter 1 bec 1 nutella cc.

out of the 4 ppl who ate it 2 of them had uncontrollable diarrhea for the rest of the day and stomach pains the following day after. the 3rd person had food poisoning and could not stop throwing up plus diarrhea for 2 days she had to call off work the following day to recover. surprisingly i did not have any issues.

i dont want to say its the bagel pub but the two ppl who had stomach pains and diarrhea did not have anything to eat the entire day except the bagels i had brought back(i had bought them in the morning).

My theory is that there is some type of cross contamination going on because no way can you get food poisoning from cream cheese bagel or a bagel with butter. i had ordered the lox and the salmon stored in the fridge was kinda sussy.

needless to say i dont think i will be back. in total i had spent around $40+ with an iced coffee.
