I NEVER write reviews, but after realizing how much Creator Casa has helped me over the past few months, I feel I need to pay it forward to other writers, artists, and makers who might be struggling like I had been.
Like any other writer grappling with post-pandemic work-life norms, I have come to realize just how much my creative output (aka actual drafts FINISHED) depends on my community; I've realized how much I need other creators to help hold me accountable to my deadlines, to learn new skills, to celebrate the wins and talk through the losses.
Through Creator Casa, I've found more than I could have hoped for. Their digital community on Discord has helped me learn about software, plug-ins and website to organize my research articles. Their "Get Sh*t Done" workshops have helped me go from blank pages to full article drafts. Their monthly artist showcases have introduced me to the future illustrator for my book cover, my photographer/ videographer for my book's video shorts series, and a consultant for my book's social media strategy.
The actual SPACE is also incredibly warm, inviting, inspiring. It's stocked with every tool a creator could possibly need. I had been searching for an event space to host a journalists' workshop this summer, and after sifting through dozens of unanswered Contact pages and fruitless Google searches of boring, terribly lit, soulless, overpriced converted office spaces, I was thrilled to find a dream space in Creator Casa. You can tell how much the founders, Pat and Kris, care about the community, too, and their enthusiasm and vision for my event has helped so much.
If you're stuck in a creative rut and need tools, resources, and inspiration to help you find your way out, I HIGHLY recommend Creator Casa. It's so much more than just an event space -- it's a community that will go on to support you long after your event is over and draft is done. Thank you,...
Read moreI attended my first Creator Casa event in support of my friend and walked in to the building almost taken aback by what a cool and professional space it was. In entering Creator Casa’s sweet the first thing I noticed was the warmth-not the temperature but the cozy welcoming community I found within. Kris & Pat’s ability to not only transform as space, but some how bring together creatives from all over in an intimate and exciting setting is something I so deeply respect. I got the chance to talk to them at the first event and about a month later Kris reached out to me about showing my art. It was my first time doing so and I was very nervous, but they were ready to provide their time and rescources in helping with the instal and were even so thoughtful as to take our photo and create a tap panel tag to take viewers to the artists links to facilitate introductions. Though varying greatly, each event I have been to since has maintained the same energy but as an attendee and featured creator. I’m very grateful for the conversations and connections this spaces has brought me and am...
Read moreI found the guys over at Creator Casa a when I was looking for a coworking space and community of other artists/entrepreneurs.
The founders, Kris and Pat, took time to get to know me and connected me with people in the network who I had a lot in common with. They actually invited me to be a featured artist at one of their gallery events which was awesome!
I'd definitely recommend checking them out if you're a creator of any kind, or are just looking for an online community of people to bounce ideas off of (their discord is pretty active).
Thanks again for the gallery feature guys! Looking forward to...
