Delicious and priced right. For a bit over $10 you can have a taste of heaven! I've been to more Ramen places that I can count and there's always something off. Whether it's the broth, what is added in, poorly cooked noodles, poor quality noodles, poor quality meat, there's always something.

Setagaya made it a point to find heir balance. They offer the typical Ramen with meat and the DX bowl which also has the preserved egg. Of course I went right to the DX bowl! The meat was extremely tender, properly charred and gently seasoned, noodles were cooked perfectly and I can tell from watching them cook they didn't use a timer, they actually paid very close attention to how they cook the Ramen. They use the straight Ramen, not the wavy which is fine but I do prefer the wavy. The scallions were fresh and the bamboo shoots, although they probably came from a can, did not taste like it.

Service here was friendly and helpful which is always a big plus. For a fast-food style place, 4 star is my highest rating and they earned it for sure. Keep in mind there literally is a handful of items on their menu, mainly Ramen so if you're looking for something else and instead eat here, you must remember you chose...

Ordered spicy miso ramen at $18 - along with Kaedama (extra noodles) for $3. When I got my spicy miso I know that there are no way I can use the additional noodles in my bowl of spicy noodles soup because there were no soup or broth in it. The "soup" was a thick starchy liquid (I don't know how they do it - but most probably from the noodles that were cooked in overtly starchy liquid. The traditional way where the vegetables were supposed to cook in the broth were not cooked together with the starchy liquid - which will almost be impossible. As a result - the flavor of the veggies did not meld with the flavor of the broth (and vice versa). It like eating really raw cabbage. I could barely add additional noodles to my bowl - there were no flavor of spicy miso as the noodles were coated with whatever starch that came with it. Raw cabbage after taste - and for $18 I am expecting something more meticulously crafted - not some kind of food court gloop. Very...

GOOD RAMEN WITH ZERO FRILLS 🍜 First off, this is essentially a stall kitchen setup in a small food court. Capability is much more limited than a traditional restaurant. So I’m going to judge the ramen. It’s very good and flavorful. The broth is thick. I ordered the miso ramen with extra chashu 👌🏼 The bowl hit the spot perfectly. Now for the price you pay it’s probably best to eat this at an actual restaurant as $20 for ramen with a plastic disposable spoon and drinks with no ice available or sesame seeds unavailable to put in the ramen.. is a bit bare bones. If this stall was at a subway platform it’s understandable but the vibe is a little cheap and hasty for a $20 bowl of ramen. For the price you can have a more relaxed dining experience in a restaurant with a waiter and ice fit drinks, etc. But putting that aside I do recommend the flavor of this ramen and it’s good for a food...
