I was very excited to find a yoga studio in the neighborhood that offers “hot” yoga so I signed up for a class. Though I did find the instructor to be great and I did enjoy the small class size, the description of the class is very misleading. For one, as a first timer upon entering the studio, it was a bit unorganized.. no one at the front to sign me in, no one to tell me where to go, etc. Second, the class was not hot at all. I thought I was in the wrong class or that I misread something when I signed up. I thought I was going crazy. Not one heater was on and it by no means was near 85 degrees in there which is what is described online. I asked the instructor afterwards if it was a hot yoga class and she admitted it would never be as hot as a bikram class, which I understand, but it was not hot at all. A few of the classes/instructors are really great (Mimi and LG, for example), but I generally found it really distracting how MUCH all the instructors talk so much during the classes. I chose a new instructor today, Lucia Russett, and she showed extreme micro aggression towards me. I will now have to look for another company to attend classes with.
