HearthCabinet® Ventless Fireplaces — Local services in New York

Several years ago we purchased a condominium in a building that had no capacity to install fireplaces. The result was that people had adopted all types of alternatives, like fake fireplaces that had fake flames and electric lights. They weren’t pretty.

My spouse happened upon an ad for HearthCabinet, so while we were in New York, we visited their showroom and were impressed by their product. Last year we began renovating the space for our eventual move and decided to purchase two of the units.

HearthCabinet was a joy to work with, event during the height of the pandemic. They were responsive to our needs and delivered the product as promised and pretty much on schedule.

Because our construction concluded at the end of spring, we had not had the opportunity to light a fire, but very much admired the look of the units nestled in their stone surrounds and wooden mantles. Apparently word got out to some of our neighbors because last night one asked to see the units because they were considering adding a fireplace to their space.

So for the first time we inserted the canisters and fired them up. The effect was amazing. The fire crackled and the flames licked higher and higher. It was like being back at our old home with a wood fire burning. In addition, the fireplaces put out enough heat so that the rooms will be warm and cozy in the winter.

I would recommend this product to anyone who wants the beauty and warmth of a real fireplace but is limited by their ability to vent. It is a well made piece of business and I am sure you will enjoy having it for...

First and foremost, the Hearth fireplace is super dope. It’s even better than we imagined — we love it. In fact, we just ordered a second one. But there is one issue.

Here’s our background. We live in a 120 year old Brooklyn row house that had multiple fireplaces that were closed up. And we always dreamed of having a working fireplace, a luxury in NYC.

We considered renovating our living room fireplace with gas but that wasn’t a possibility, for practical reasons and cost. Our contractor recommended we look at Hearth as an alternative and he was spot on.

It looks great and creates a much better, cozier fire experience than gas. It was also relatively easy to install and is easy to use.

The one issue is that we like to have a fire burning every night… and at $9 a cartridge for 2 hours of fire, it adds up. It’s a bit like Gillette, you buy the the razor and spend tons of money on the blades. And because of this we use it less than we want to. At least it still looks good.

Nevertheless, as I mentioned above, we just decided to get a second Hearth for our dining room fireplace based on the one we first installed in our living room.

I live in Baltimore so I did not visit the showroom, but I had a very good experience with their sales team remotely. We ended up getting the #103 - Small - Black Firebox. We live in a row house in a middle unit and didn't want to have to deal with running a gas line for a fireplace. I also suffer from medical problems that affect my lungs so I wanted a solution that didn't create a lot of smoke and/or fumes. I ended up doing a lot of research until I found HearthCabinet. Their fireplaces looks so beautiful and I loved that they had gel alcohol cartridges as the source of fuel but yet they look like gas if not real wood fireplaces. The gel cartridges pop and crackle when you light them so they really create a lovely atmosphere. These fireplaces don't put off as much heat as a gas one would but we live in such a small place we actually like that. Anyway in my opinion these fireplace cabinet inserts are worth the price because they are beautifully made and really there is nothing else like them on the market,...
