Do not, I repeat DO NOT bother getting your nails done here, especially if you are seeking high proficiency work and variety. The price does not match the product, it is literally a money grab! They are doing regular sets and charging top dollar, for what I have no clue. Not only are there better shops aesthetically, but there are EXTREMELY better nail artist in NYC. I wanted to try something new and got jipped. The chairs are uncomfortable, the space is small and worn down. For damn near $500 (including tip) they offer nothing - no juice, no water, no hospitality, and a slow unorganized tech who is piss poor at following directions. They ask for you to send an email with inspiration pictures and details, which I did a month and a half prior to my appointment but they were still unable to complete my set because the techs are not skilled in advance work. However, on their website they claim they do intricate sets, LIES! They also had ample enough time to communicate with me what they could and couldn’t do, but that’s too much like right. They also ask you to provide the “budget” for your set, but I realize now it’s so they can charge you the very top of that budget regardless of the actual price and quality! They can only do 3D flowers, chrome, and French tips, lmfao. Even their charm selection is basic as hell! I have never been so pissed off, and underwhelmed in my life! Not to mention, when I expressed my concerns to the manager, Jenny, she states to me that her employee is “human and doing the best she can and sometimes they can’t replicate a design”as if there were aliens in the shop doing & getting their nails done, and why charge for intricate designs you can’t do?! What a joke! Jenny was on guard after being confronted and lacked solutions, so she started talking nonsense, which is typical behavior for unprofessional people. I would have gladly paid $400+ for a set that was worth it, but instead I paid for a mediocre tech to waste my time and hers. If you want a custom highly intricate 3D set, the LAST place you should go is here. And she had the gall to screw her face up when I walked out, as if I couldn’t see her through the window’s reflection, COWARD! Whatever you do, STEER CLEAR! I can’t believe I was in the chair from 11am-4pm for these lackluster, novice nails, and I am beyond embarrassed to even post this. I am not new to the nail community, and these women played in my face! For Christ sake, 4 of the damn nails have absolutely NOTHING on them but some damn chrome, I AM HOT!!!!! 5 hours and $405 later and this is my “birthday set”?! Ladies, please don’t come here because the only set you’re going to get is set up or upset! Jenny and the alien or owner should change the name of the shop to “Oh No” instead of “Krystal Oh!” P.S. The inspiration pictures and details are from the email I sent to them October 22, 2024, and the last 2 pictures are the “finished product.”

I want to start off by saying...what a kind, warm, and utterly welcoming salon. I was almost late due to NYC traffic, but the kind ladies gave me a 15 min grace period which saved the day! I came in and had no true idea exactly what I wanted. I told Jess the nail artist "I'm seeing TWICE today, and this is my outfit." When I tell you she went fully nail fairy godmother...she really did! She came up with an amazing idea that honestly I was so nervous as normally I don't give away full creative control, but baby did she show me what she was workin with! She came up with a beautiful artsy pastel design to match my cloud dress! We spoke as she did my nails, and she was very gentle and asked questions to get to know me to get more understanding of my style (she used it to find out I like glitter and added some for me for finishing touches since I love glitter! How touching!) As someone who has bad anxiety, I wish all my nail experiences were this neat, clean and utterly friendly. Every nail tech I saw had a smile on and was talking to their client in such a lovely manner. That may sound like bare minimum, but it isn't these days. It's hard to find good quality and a friendly face these days, so I'm very grateful at how comforting the service was. I went to my concert with complete confidence, and got so many endless compliments on my nails! In regards to price, it may get a little pricey but I wanna make it clear 1. They give you an idea of the price upfront. 2. Gems and gel have always been a luxury service so luxury price you will pay. 3. It was well worth it for me!!! As I'm a native NYer but now that I live down south it's hard to find this kind of gel service so it was worth it for me! One of my gems had a small issue, and they had NO ISSUE getting me right back in to fix it free of charge. No questions asked. Thank you again girlies! Love the hard work and beautiful designs! I will for sure be back from now on my all my kpop concerts! (September for Aespa! Lol). Nothing feels better than getting a luxury service done, and being happy with it as well as having others compliment it. When I say I sent the link to their shop so many times at this point from posting my nails on social media.

3/1/25 3.5 When I booked my nail appointment, I requested my service of hard gel extensions. This is something that I’ve gotten before multiple times. I went to someone new today and not my usual as my nail person was not there. Prepping the nail starts out fine until she brought out the tips. I asked why are we putting on tips as I thought we were doing hard gel. She told me that the hard gel would go over the tips. When she applied the first tip to my right pinky, I said it felt heavy and that I did not want it as I do have sensory issues. My wishes were not respected as she said that it would not feel heavy later on. I understood where she was coming from but it took a lot from me to speak up about something I did not like only to be ignored and not listened to. She continued putting on all tips (I know I should’ve said something but again I felt as though I did speak up before and I wasn’t listened to.) After applying tips, shaping and buffing, hard gel was then applied, cured and then shaped. Applying tips on my nails was an extra step that was not needed as it required extra buffing and shaping. The whole process was undeniable long. Krystal Oh Nails also need an updated inventory of the colors as they did not have a color that was a specific sage green color. Nail techs - when a client speaks up please listen as it takes a lot to speak up in the first place and we do not want to go home feeling unhappy or not fully satisfied. I was in the end feeling okay (nails still feel heavy) about the service but nail day is a day to be happy about the whole process and the outcome! UPDATE: 3/14/25 Right pointer finger nail is broken.

I made an appointment for Friday, however, unexpectedly NYC started to flood causing nearly all the train stations to close. I contacted them MENTIONING the flood and how I won’t be able to make it. (BTW you know how New York is when it floods, sometimes when it’s not as severe the stations won’t close BUT this time they did close and that indicates that it was a serious flood. The water was up to my ankle and nearly my calves, I was contacting them in the rain and I just felt a sense of rage). Normally during this time businesses would offer to let you reschedule for free or cancel for free (because that’s how you do business and keep customers 🤓) but they indicate that it’s a policy and a very strict policy to protect their technicians. It makes me truly curious who even went to their salon during the flood and who in the right mind would do so? They also said the only exceptions made are people running late due to the flood, do they expect me to book a taxi and get there? It’s giving me “idc how you get here but you need to get here”. Also this shows that their owner has no care for her customers when accommodations can barely be made during these type of situations. She was able to open another store because of said customers but won’t even care a single ounce about them. They had no care that this was a natural disaster and nothing man made, basically said either you reschedule or you cancel. Cancelling takes 50% of the total you are ought to pay if you were to get your nails done (based on their prices it could be $100) and rescheduling would be an extra 25 with your deposit being not refundable. The deposit alone was 40 bucks so that brought the total up by 65 dollars. I paid nearly $200 for a set of Gel X Simple design, and I mean it when I say it’s SIMPLE. Find a local salon or another “small” business to do your nails instead of coming here. (Also pray that I don’t get doxxed because they still have my personal...
