I had two negative experiences at Brookfield Place trying to return a dress. First on June 22, 2022 and then on July 6, 2022 at 2.14 pm. First experience without receipt - spoke with manager and she tried looking up how I had purchased the dress with no luck. My friend who was there when I bought the dress also bought one using a gift card which she no longer had. We explained that but the manager did not help. While we were trying to explain ourselves, I noticed that the manager rolled her eyes and so did Cynthia S. The non -verbal energy from the manager was very poor and I felt unwelcomed there. Second experience WITH receipt - Two weeks later I returned because I found the receipt and went back with my friend. The cashier who did the return was also Cythia S who had rolled her eyes at me. I provided the receipt and asked how much credit I would get as it was a store credit. She responded in a nasty and condescending tone that I would have to look at the receipt. At that point the same manager suddenly appeared and she was also looking at me. I had to return and ask who the manager was to which the manager responded she was. I said, "I will write a review on both of you for my negative experience." I will not be shopping at this store again. NEVER. Poor customer and manager experience....

I received a Christmas gift from J Crew and needed to exchange/return it, but the nearest store is 2 hours away. So, I called one of the three J Crew Factory stores in town, and they said they could return it. However, when I got to the store, and after 20 minutes of the representative calling around, she said she couldn’t do it. The item was in all of its original internal and external packaging with corresponding barcodes, and had the tags still on. It is a very dumb policy that any item can not be taken back to any store of the brand, not if you’re a customer-oriented business. I advised my best friend who sent the gift never to shop here again, and I certainly won’t. Ann Taylor and White House Black Market will get my primary clothing purchases since their returns are seamless among store brand levels, and of course, Amazon’s return policy is second to none. ...

Attempted to return an item using a gift receipt. Could tell there was an attitude towards me, but followed instructions. She asked for original receipt and denied return without original gift card again.
