The Key Food here compared to Forest Ave location is apples & oranges. It's not just about space limitations it's also the idea of urban vs suburban and perceptions so this market is set up as a bare bones in comparison. It is clean qnd they try to keep it well stocked. I only eat certified organic meats and oatmeal so I order mine elsewhere but for other things I will buy there. One major difference is the baking section. The Forest Ave location baking section makes you WANTNto bake with so many interesting ingredients offered and tools to use. It's not the BaynSt location's fault, it's the corporate strategy of how they perceive urban vs suburban and how they value the people. Perhaps an understanding of how some of the devalued served in their markets have ancestors wno were killed because their food/general stores/butcher stores were so popular that it lead them being lynched. There is an entire market and approach to food stores that is entirely unseen by those in power who get to do what they want, however, it does not mean they are in any way, shape or form the BEST. This goes for all these major markets not just Key food. None of you ever operated on a level playing field and a lot that was done was hidden from you. If you weren't so conditioned to being triggered by truth and reality, we could change the food store industry and have customers lined up...
Read more06/21/14---I WILL NEVER GO BACK INTO THAT STORE Key Food on Bay Street EVER AGAIN!!! Today is the 5th time I have put things in my basket, and get to the register, and they claim they made a mistake. They claim the price on the shelf is wrong. This week the price on the shelf said 3 bottles of Dr Pepper for 5.00. They told me NO, I can't buy it for that it is a mistake. The Guy said he just took the sign down. I said so by it being your mistake why don't you sell it to me for that price, since it's you all's mistake..He said NO!!! Last week A supervisor told me solid white tuna was on sale 3 for 5.00 (while he was telling his workers what to do and helping stocking the shelfs). I stacked up. When I got to the register, another supervisor told me NO that isn't the right price. I pointed to the supervisor in the tuna section, and I told her what he told me, she said she didn't care, it's the wrong price. Alot of people have STOPPED going to that grocery store, and I will be another. Western Beef is much better. If they make a mistake, they give you the item for that mistake price. If you notice also, they NEVER be packed with people like Western Beef or other Grocery store. Only one's that will use them is the one's in their area. I and other's hope they get NEW management or JUST...
Read moreUnfortunately, it didn’t go so well for me, is very small, barely no space to go down the isles with your cart, very cold, where you feel you’re walking into a walk in freezer. They barely have the things you want, out of stock on a lot of products. Concluding with my complaints, I needed help finding peanut butter, so I went to one of the cash register workers, and said excuse me, excuse me, several times and noticed she had on air pods and was on her phone, while me being right next to her, she didn’t even bother to acknowledge, pretending that I wasn’t there, trying to get her attention, so the next cash register next to her, noticed me trying to get that cash register’s attention, she decided to help me instead, so she was the one that gave me great customer Service, shot out to, Ms Joan, who gave me great customer Service. She deserves a promotion for being professional and having great customer Service Skills. She needs to teach the other rude unprofessional female cash register worker, those skills. Having great customer Skills, would be as its best interest for the business. So I hope that this doesn’t happen to...
