I hate to do ⭐⭐ because there wasn't anything significantly wrong with the food except for PRICE (more on that later) and the lady who takes the orders (I think I heard a regular call her Michelle?) she's a pleasant person. BUT, I'm sorry, OVER $10 for 4 chicken wings & French fries?! I'm sorry, this particular dish which holds major nostalgia for me should NEVER cost OVER $10. Ten dollars flat would've been a bad enough disappointment but I think I would handle it better (they even have a sign posted about rising costs forcing increase in menu prices) but those several cents over $10 particularly offended me. Even with inflation, I don't think 4 CW & FF (at your basic Chinese food spot in the hood) should total more than $8; it definitely shouldn't be $10 or more. Obviously, you can see how PRICE has triggered me and hence the low rating. PLUS the young lady (not maybe-Michelle) forgot hot sauce on my CW. That's a felony! And I mentioned at least three times: "Ketchup on the fries and A LOT of hot sauce on the...
Read moreUnfortunately I've had some really Terrible, horrible, rediculous, just outright no good situations and experiences in this establishment. Not only does it occasionally smell like dog's fecel matter in there, but the food is downright horrible. There is another Chinese food store in the 10301 area I would recommend over this one and it is called Green Tea. Wayyyyyyy better quality when it comes to the taste of the food. On top of it all, the service at Chef Hong was terrible, after getting the order I placed incorrect 3 orders in a row, the woman behind the counter and answering the phones had the Gaul to flip out on me in front of an exgirlfriend, who all most beat her senseless for showing me such disrespect. Terrible place I don't recommend...
Read moreThis is our third order with them however overall for our experience with them is three stars. Since they have some hits like their fried scallops and fried chicken wings but they also have some misses like their fries are soggy and taste old. Then there’s the onion rings and it’s another soggy not crispy story. But to top it all off it’s the inconsistency when we ask for hot sauce, ketchup and bbq sauce on our food, they sometimes do it and that just messes up the whole experience of getting ready to eat your food, being excited, just to be asking where the sauce at. Anyway, I know good food when I get it, this spots a hit and miss depending on...
