Wanted to love this place so much. It’s in a great location for me. I got a powder dip on March 12th. The tech was extremely sweet, but she messed up my thumb on the drying phase 3 times. I didn’t even ask her to fix it the first time, but she just started taking the off. It took forever. But she was so sweet and did a killer massage so I didn’t think much of it and tipped her extra because I felt bad that it took so long.
Within 4 days, 3 of my nails broke. I went back the following week and the manager fixed my nails. She told me they should have lasted 2-3 weeks and re did the top coat for all my nails. So nice of her. But then, a few days later, 2 more nails broke. So for this $59 gel dip manicure, I never even got a week out of it. On the 13th day I went back and just had them take all of it off. It would have been nice if they would have offered me something or apologized, but no. To be fair, the nice manager that was there the first 2 times wasn’t there when I went back to take them all off. Now it’s 2 weeks later and I’m out about $70 ($59 minus 20% plus $20 tip), i spent almost 2 and a half hours on my nails in 2 weeks, and I still...
Read moreFirst of all, I write this review with bloody and throbbing cuticles. This place sucks! I came here with my mom and we got regular mani-pedis, which are the most common and basic service you could get. My manicurist was rough, filed my fingers and toes more than my nails, and cut me in multiple places with the cuticle cutter. She didn’t even bother to ask me what shape I wanted and when I showed her an example of a very basic oval shaped nail (that every other salon has been able to achieve), she failed to do it and then told me it was because of my nails. She cut them all different lengths, they were all different shapes, and all crooked on the edges. And it’s no wonder because the entire time she was looking at everything in her surroundings besides my nails. My mom’ regular pedicure took over an hour.
Besides the general assault on my extremities, I can’t even say it was worth it for the aesthetic result.
The WORST manicure in NYC. Do not waste your time, patience,...
Read moreI paid nearly $200 for a uv hot gel filling & a gel pedicure. I asked her not to cut my toe nails, yet there’s barely any nails left on every toe & she filed my big toe slanting down at the top.
The person that did my nails didn’t do enough coats on my finger nails so a couple days later I had to go back & fix the chipping on the tip & indent in the middle of my thumb nail. The following week I had to go back again & fix my pinky nail because she filed it down too thin so it was cracking down the middle & the corner chipped off.
After spending so much here already, they charged me $10 because it was after 7 days when my nails usually last 4 weeks, especially if I’m paying $200. She also had me pay before she polished my nail as if I was going to run off & not pay the $10.
