Great store, but sadly I had a bad encounter with one of the attendants yesterday which the store coordinator ended up handling the situation very well. I came to return some clothes I bought online. The attendant rolled her eyes and huffed at me the moment she saw me with a bag (that only had five pieces to return).
She processed the returns by scanning each bag that pertained to each one of the items. She didnât processed the return by scanning the tags of the items. What happened was that there was an item inside the wrong bag, and the total money to be returned to me was lower than what I calculated that it would be.
I told her that the total amount seemed wrong. She got desperate and said: âplease sign hereâ by forcefully pointing to the signing space of the receipt. I asked her again, she got more desperate and said: âyou got five clothes and ticket says five clothes, just sign here ok?â. So I was forced to sign something I didnât feel comfortable
After this attitude, I decided to leave the counter and stayed on the side doing some math. I finally confirmed that she made a mistake so I went to the store coordinator. She quickly understood my case and tried to help. She went to talk to the attendant and I overheard she said: âit is her mistake to put the clothes in the wrong bagâ
I get it that people are tired at the end of the day, as we all are. But please be more thoughtful and human. Treat people as you would like to be treated. Customers donât know we have to return items inside each one of the bag, we assume the returns are done by tag (as in most of the stores).

Today i was at marshalls with both of my toddlers, my 4 year old really needed to pee. i asked an employee if she could use the bathroom she expressed I would have to ask a manager for permission for my 4 year old to use the bathroom. I walk up to the register area and ask an employee there named Erica if my 4 year old could use the bathroom she blatantly said no they dont have a bathroom. when i told her one of the other employees had said i just had to speak to a manager for permission to use it. she said just go to target. Target had already closed its doors through the bridge area, and there was no way my 4 year old wouldve made it to even the parking lot without peeing on herself. When I asked Erica again if she could please just use the bathroom and that she was a child, and asked her where she would use the bathroom she said we have an employee bathroom only your daughter cant use. another employee by the name of Shantal ? (not sure of the spelling of her name) also chimed in telling us to go to target. I dont understand the big deal, of allowing a 4 year old to use the bathroom have never ever had this issue with any of the other stores in atlantic center, Old navy lets us use the bathroom, so does best buy and stop and shop.    Read moreNot worth it. Good selection of items but nothing you can find at any other Marshall's store. Service is what tanks the experience. Line for checkout quite literally wraps AROUND the store and it can easily take 45-60 mins for check out because there'll only be 3-4 people at the register. Other store employees just moseying around. I understand sales associates are needed in the floor and in the fitting room. But if your line wraps past the registers twice and continues to the very back of the store... that might be a good time to pull folks off the floor for a moment to get the line down. I can't imagine this is even safe. Floor associates aren't even providing service or assistance, just walking around and slowly putting things back. This will likely be my last time at this location. Definitely would recommend unless it's urgent and you have a person to wait in line right away while you shop. Almost 10 years of retail experience at 3 stores and I don't know a manager that would let this happen. Poor service,...
