When I went shopping there last night to find a winter coat, I tried on one of the coats I liked. I had a shopping cart with me and took off my old winter coat I wore to get there into the cart as I tried on a new coat. When I turned my back for what must have been only seconds, someone stole my old coat! When I went to report it to a security guard, he looked like I just told him to go to sleep instead of what I was actually saying. He did not express any interest and I had to prompt him to write down the incident. I had to prompt him yet again to take my name and number in case it was found. I finally go ahold of the correct police precinct to report the crime to but it was 30 degrees outside, and the checkout line at this Burlington had about 150 people on it, no exaggeration, and 3 checkout people. I did not want to patronize Burlington after this, so I left the store without purchasing the coat I liked there, and MINUS my old coat I wore when I left my apartment to go shopping there. I ran into Target just before it closed and quickly found a winter coat on sale to buy, not my first choice, but it would do to get me home. On the way home, I called the police precinct who said I could file a report at their precinct tomorrow, as I was exhausted and upset and had not eaten supper and it was 10 pm at night. NEVER SHOP THERE. Especially if you are a thinking this is a safe place. It is not, and the security guards are negligent and apathetic. There is no security department there, and they could care less if something is stolen from you in this store. Beware of this...
Read moreI’ve shopped at Burlington for about 30 years . At the Secaucus outlet store and they were the best. The only store that had layaway is this one and that’s why I keep coming but the lines r ridiculous so bad that I put my items on layaway several times because of the ridiculous lines. Recently I had a layaway and they made me Waite for 1hour only to tell me that they couldn’t find my layaway. The child that claimed she looked for my layaway was nasty n the head cashier Destiny said she would go to the back n find it and I waited for another 30 minutes n she did not look even go to the back to look for it n had the nerves to get nasty. The so called store manager Tyra came out to only not assist me but have a nasty attitude n did nothing . I ended up leaving without my layaway n nothing solved. I called Burlington corporate office and got nothing solved . I waited a few days later and went back and an associate found my lay away. Burlington did nothing to assist me and they don’t value their customers. All of these reviews don’t matter they will do nothing to fix the long line situation and will do nothing about the rude nasty employees. That’s sad because they will lose money. All Burlington stores I’ve been to have ridiculous long lines we are all just wasting our time with these reviews. They don’t compensate their customers and do nothing about rude employees.Tyra n Destiny are still there and Burlington has done nothing to assure that their customers experience is a great safe and...

Absolutely the most chaotic location I’ve ever been to! Clothes were literally everywhere — on the floor, on shelves, in random corners — but definitely not on the racks. 😂
The line was unbelievable. I waited two and a half hours just to buy 5 items! I got in line around 7:30 PM and didn’t leave until 10:00 PM
To be fair, the cashiers were doing their best and continued checking out customers even though the store was supposed to close at 8:45 PM due to holiday hours. I truly appreciate their effort — they were patient and hardworking.
However, this situation could easily be improved. Here’s my kind suggestion: when the store gets this busy, ask customers to fold their own items while checkout. It makes a huge difference!
Yesterday, I checked out within five minutes because I folded my items myself and put them in my bag. Meanwhile, I had spent over two hours waiting while one cashier — an older lady — was taking forever to neatly fold every single item for other customers.
Another issue: there were two lines — one for customers with fewer than 5 items and another for those with more — but there were no clear signs or announcements. Many people (including me) had fewer than 5 items but didn’t realize there was an express line available. That added to the confusion and frustration.
I hope management reads this and makes some improvements, because the staff deserves better organization, and so do...
