Miracle Wig's & Hair — Local services in New York

I went to this shop two days ago for my first wig. She seemed nice and energetic so I stayed. I asked her for her recommendation on a wig I should get and she told me a 360 and I paid 500 including a 25 dollar fee. She washed my hair and then braided it wet. As she braided it I was faced away from the mirror and didn’t realize she had done it so messy. She then proceeded to add tons of glue to my hair but I didn’t know any better because it was my first time. When I got up I thought the hair was decent so I said thank you and left. But the very next day I noticed the lace was lifted and when I called she said I must have done something to it. I assured her that I hadn’t touched the hair and she was not happy. I let it go but two hours later I realized the hair had moved further back so I texted her and said I would need to come into the shop. She called me and said I am disrespectful and that this is ridiculous. I said I want this wig off and she said she can just add more glue. The night ended and when I woke up I realized the hair was even looser so I texted her and sent her the same images posted here. She called me back to back and was very angry with me. She said a lot of nasty things and said she is not obligated to give me my money back or give me another wig. The argument went on for about 20 minutes and she said she would give me 50 of the 525 I gave her. I got very frustrated when she then asked me if I’m going to pay her to remove the hair. This situation wa sin no way my fault and she was not professional nor accepting of her mistake. I don’t want to ruin her business but I don’t want anyone else to go through this. Terrible terrible service. The place was super dirty. She told me to be there by 1 30 PM and made me wait for her like 30 mins, she came with the things she needed to do the hair in a bag. You could tell she just bought it at a dollar store or something. Her attitude was really messed up, she didnt show no customer service ability. It came to a point where she was yelling because I asked her questions about the installation of the wig. She constantly attacked me and I didnt feel like her work was worth 150 dollars. She basically washed my hair and dried it for like 5 mins , then braid it and cut the wig and then installed it. She shaved the back of my head. She said it would look better since my hair didn't match the wigs hair, terrible outcome. She said I would be able to pit the wig up , now all u can see it's the hairline of my brother in me. Like now I think how I'm the world can I show the back of my head. I'm was very displeased with the job. Oh and the best part is that j got it done yesterday and today I wake up the glue it's coming out, I feel like i got cheated out of my money. This is why I'm giving this the worst review possible. I never in my life left a review, but I got so mad when the hair lift up and I thought of the so little work she put in. Idk why she has so many good reviews. When I went there it looked like i was the only client of the day. She basically goes when she gets a customer. Worst service ever. Never in a billion years...

I have never had a weave installed before so I came to Jewel completely clueless. I just knew I wanted a break from my curls, and I wanted nice straight hair. Jewel was very professional and kind, she answered all my questions and concerns, and believe me I had a lot! lol She told me exactly the type of hair I needed to buy and how many packs. I came as a walk in without an appointment and she still squeezed me in. I was so worried it wouldn't look natural on me but let me tell you, she slayed and laid my hair! I walked out feeling like a celebrity. She really made it look so natural and gorgeous, it literally ALL looks like my hair. It also lays very flat on my head, no helmet head here. I got tons of compliments from family, friends and strangers! I love it! It's now about two weeks later and my hair still looks and feels great :) If you're looking for an amazing hair stylist who is talented, gifted and kind, she is your girl! I feel like I was treated great and I feel like she wanted my hair to come out perfect, she explained what she was doing and what products she was using that she felt delivered the best results.
