HORRIBLE,HORRIBLE, HORRIBLE.. It hurts my heart to write this review but I ALWAYS RECCOMEND SWEET CHICKS FOOD FOR MY CHICKEN AND WAFFLE LOVERS BUT I simply must be honest, DATE NIGHT WAS A COMPLETE FAIL thanks to the service provided .. MY SERVER KWESI TAUGHT ME JUST GO TO THE SWEET CHICKS ON FLATBUSH AVENUE.. ORDER TO GO! BUT NEVER GO TO THIS LOCATION AGAIN ..
I ordered, chicken with bacon & chedder waffles.. my boyfriend ordered bufflo chicken with apple cinnamon waffles... when the food arrived I recieved my boyfriends apple cinnamon waffles with plain chicken & he recieved the bacon cheddar waffles with buffalo chicken.. SO we exchanged plates and than swapped chicken across our table in front of our server; who never apologized for his error, seemed upset at us to be completely honest .. We wouldn't hear from our server KWESI again until after the bill arrived by the manager (who we requested) & I had to ask for the check from the busser... HE CAME BACK TO TAKE MY PAYMENT..
SO AFTER We refilled our waters, we stacked our plates & still had to ask for it to be removed.. I explained to the manager Kwesi never checked on us one time! Not a single moment of hows your food? Are you ok? Can I get you something else to drink, Do you need more napkins NOTHING! .. I explained to the manager we intended to still tip, we dont want a single thing free, (after I said we didn't want anything for free; she offered to remove something) but I understand this is a business.. I didn't go there to get anything complimentary.. I just wanted fair service.. as I watched KWESI TOUCH & TALK TO TABLES AROUND US .. I FIGURED OUR MONEY NOR PRESENCE IS WELCOMED...
I told her we just want to inform you. THE LAST THING we ordered ARRIVED a bucket of chicken with Mike's hot honey sauce.. didn't receive the sauce.. Ask for the manager again .. because our servers was less than concerned with us! The manager pointed at my syrup in the small metal tin that the butter comes in which I recieved with my waffles I explained it wasn't the hot honey sauce.. She explained the sauce comes on the side for $2 so it's ok. The point was nothing we asked came without error .. WE BAGGED OUR FOOD .. GAVE KWESI $15 For $78 (I usually tip much higher but still gave him 20% regardless of his service its classless to not tip) WE LEFT KNOWING WE WILL NEVER EVER RETURN AGAIN.. LET ME BE CLEAR THE ATMOSPHERE WAS CALM IN THE SMALL TINY RESTAURANT, WASNT HECTIC AT ALL WHICH IS WHY I DON'T UNDERSTAND WHAT HAPPENED TO GOOD...
Read moreFirst off, I really enjoy Sweet Chick. I frequent the Long Island City location and I’m fairly pleased with my experiences there.
This location left a bad taste in my mouth, pun intended. I visited the location on the evening of 8/31/21 for a Take Out Order. The moment I walked in I noticed it wasn’t too busy and assumed the service would be quick and seamless since they don’t have a mad rush. The young lady at the bar/counter greeted me after an almost awkward delay. She wasn’t helpful during the ordering process but no less, I tipped 20% on my check. I waited outside for my order, after some time I went it to see if it was ready and it was sitting there for some time apparently and there was no notification from the young lady, but maybe that’s too much to expect especially after tipping 20%. The food was cold, but I blamed my self and didn’t make a thing of it. I politely asked for a ranch dressing. I was told it would cost $1, I paid cash and didn’t receive a receipt for my purchase and I’m sure the $1 I paid never made it to the register. In summary the service was bad period.
The food, was cold and put in the bag sloppy and I didn’t enjoy it. The chicken taste like old oil and the biscuit was hard as a rock. The slaw, was decent but the portion was concerning. I hope the owner of that location Iraizoz severer shoppers and or takes note of the reviews her or his restaurant gets. It was a Tuesday and I won’t be going back to this location even if the...
Read moreUsed to come to this location pretty often but it’s been awhile since we’ve been back. Last time I was here the tables outside were first come if they weren’t too busy and there was a QR code to order off your phone with the table number, then they’d bring your food to you when it’s ready. If you sit inside, it was full service, but if you were outside you could still go in and ask for anything you need Today, that’s all changed. You have to see the host to sit at the tables, otherwise they have no idea you’re there, no QR code. The host, Brianna, was dismissive. She handed menus for us to take outside then we had to come back when we were ready to order. We had to pay when we placed the order and she gave herself a 20% tip. We were told to come back in 15 min. When we did, the food was packed to go without utensils or napkins, which I didn’t realize until I was outside. She didn’t welcome me in or say anything, only a look that seemed to question why I was there in the first place. The guy working at the bar addressed me sooner and nicer than she did. When I went back to ask for utensils, she questioned me whether there were any in the bag. She gave us two plastic forks, two plastic knives, and one single napkin from the kitchen - not the napkins like on the tables for customers inside. My order, the sesame ginger salad, was also wrong with grilled chicken instead of their signature...
