Update 03/23/24 - BE CAREFUL! WHAT DO YOU THINK ? I brought the glasses back to the store. The manager was nice enough to exchange the frame and provide a warranty on my old glasses frame too. But there is one issue, I probably got punished for being a difficult customer, or it is just a pure unprofessional innocent mistake. While there is no way to install the lens wrongly, I have a Zolman (photo #2), and the lens is perfectly round. If someone is professional should know, the lens was crafted with the viewable side usually thinner and should be installed so that it is fed with the top of the frame, while the bottom of the lens, which is thicker, should be at the bottom. I wore my glasses for a week and felt so dizzy, and saw everything distorted. I was like, âWhat is going on?â Tonight I found out my lens was installed incorrectly. Well, I donât have proof of the intention. Iâll let you judge. But to be honest, whether the reason was to mess someoneâs eyes up for whatever reason, it is unethical and inhuman. If they say they are experienced since 1915, this mistake shouldnât happen! Or may be something is too old and need to replaced đ€? Help me out here guy! Please share the post to raise awareness. Thank you for reading.
I just received my $600+ glasses. For the price, I expected to have flawless, shiny glasses without scratches. they may win Warby Parker on quality, However, the SERVICE of this one is the 1000 worse than Warby Parker, I think Warby does a much better delivery/execution job.
My last glasses from this store were sent in for a lens warranty, and they returned the glasses completely scratched. They polished them badly, losing the manufacturerâs liquid shine of the glasses and leaving me with a matte, scratched look, and I didnât even ask for them to be polished! I was speak less when I see they stored my glasses in a nylon bag; I saw it when they returned it. Do they know that nylon can damage the shine of glasses if the glasses move inside and get rubbed by the nylon? Sad and disappointment are the two words I have for Moscot..
Cross this brand and store off...
Read moreOne month ago, I paid $700 for a pair of sunglasses from Moscot on Orchard Street. Great experience and I like going to Moscot because they're still family owned and it's a rare thing these days. However, that's where the good ends. The glasses rusted between the frame and the lens. When I brought them in yesterday, the salesperson said "yes, I've seen that happen before with these frames." Ok, so first thing, you carry and sell frames that have a known defect. Then he told me my only recourse is to "pop" the lenses into another frame that will fit my lenses. I spent 2 hours picking out these frames, which I love by the way. There are no other frames in the store that I want to "pop" these lenses into. So I have to compromise on a very expensive pair of glasses, taking something I don't love for $700, keeping them for years. Unacceptable, Moscot. You'd think that a family-run business would bend over backwards to make a customer happy. They knowingly sold me a defective frame and won't give me a credit on the glasses so I can start the process over again. Which I would've done with them had their customer service been better. I left the store frustrated and practically in tears. Well, now I have to take legal action. The customer service I've received from Warby Parker blows Moscot away. Amazon, too. Maybe, sadly, consumers do have to rely on the behemoths these days. It would've taken nothing to make one customer happy--because we all know, your markup is probably 200%. But...
Read moreI had a fantastic experience working w/ Moscot on Orchard St. I went in hoping to browse as I was interested in purchasing a pair of custom Lemtosh sunglasses. I already have one pair in a size 46, but I thought I might want the size 49 so I tried them on despite the advice of Marilyn, the lovely store clerk who assisted me. She advised that I should stay w/ the 46. Nevertheless, I commissioned a pair as size 49 only to realize the next day that I'd made a mistake. I took them back to the store the next day filled w/ buyer's remorse worried that nothing could be done because they were custom commissioned. However, Stefano, the gentleman who helped me was very kind. He was candid in his feedback and agreed with me that while the 49 looked good, the 46 would be the right size for me. He checked w/ the supervisor, Christopher, and then offered to graciously provide me w/ the ideal size at no charge. They would have been full right to charge me the normal $80 replacement for the lenses which had been custom cut, but they did not. They valued my experience and happiness more than the cost of those lenses (which I hope they will still find use for) and for that reason they have a customer for life. I now have two pairs of Moscot NYC Lemtosh sunglasses, both the perfect size and I could not be happier. Thank you very much to everyone who assisted me and I look forward to seeing you for my...
