Love the location but there are major downsides to the field, so I would discourage anyone of playing soccer there. First of all, the turf is extremely worn out, to the point that you are basically playing on rough concrete, which makes every fall very dangerous. I also picked up a plantar foot injury after playing a few weeks there, and I’m pretty sure it had to do with the surface. Lastly, and it is probably the reason for the wear and tear, but during the day, despite the clear “no dogs” signs everywhere, you see dogs running around freely on the grounds. So everywhere you sit is littered with hair and dirt. Combining the two seems very unhealthy (think of the dirt that mixes with open wounds on your hands, knees and elbows from falling on the concrete 🙃). NYC Parks, please...

One of the soccer fields edge is right next to the concrete slab. Played soccer there last night and slipped and my knee went directly into the concrete slab. My knee bust open Received...

I only walked by, but it looks pretty decent. There are two maybe 6v6 or 7v7 soccer fields.
