I had the most wonderful time working with Nathalie to design my dream wedding look! I’ve always pictured myself wearing green for my wedding, and given the industry’s obsession with white dresses I knew I wasn’t going to have equitable options available to me if I went the traditional bridal shop route. Enter NK Bride. I found Nathalie’s work very early on, when she had only recently started NK Bride, and my wife and I were still almost 2 years off from getting engaged. I was drawn to her edgy, runway-esque style and her imaginative designs that didn’t follow the cookie-cutter idea of what is considered “bridal.” When it was time to start planning, the very first thing we did was contact Nathalie to set up a consultation and from first meeting, it was clear Nathalie was the perfect person for the job. We showed her images from my inspiration lookbook, which heavily featured designs from Elie Saab, and Nathalie shared that she had, unrelated to our meeting, been looking at Elie Saab gowns right before. Deal, sealed. The sketch she put together afterward was STUNNING and I literally must have shown it to every person I met over the whole 2 years of planning. During the whole process, Nathalie’s work was so professional and intentional and I felt completely understood and taken care of. No stone was left unturned and every tiny element was treated with the utmost care so that we could make sure the finished product was as perfect as it could possibly be. During the fitting process, we discovered that the pants, which were part of my reception look, didn’t look as good on me as we thought they would, and Nathalie completely redesigned them and re-fitted them twice until they were as stunning as the rest of the look. I cannot rave enough about the benefits of having a custom piece made - the investment was 1,000% worth it.
