Took 3 young kids after school to get them each bags of snacks/nuts. Had them each make a bag for themselves supervised. Went to checkout and the main person there (may be the owner) said that because I didnât separate the nuts he would have to charge me the highest price per pound in the market. And charged me $25 per point!! The main things my kids got were cashews and pistachios! Which I think are less than ~$4 per pound. The small bags ended up costing over $40 dollars. When I asked him how how much he charged per pound, he couldnât even say it out loud, he printed a receipt and handed it to me so I can read it. I understand it was my fault by not separating for each kid, but he offered zero help or solution when kids were involved. I honestly think he charged at least 4x what I should have paid.
Here is a solution for the store. Categorize the nuts into 4 colors/cost categories. That way you can mix and match within those colors and have bags that are color coded to match! They would probably get more business that way.

Their products is fantastic. Personally, I never have issue with customer service in the past.
And this is could be wrong move in time that all prices are coming down include nuts.
Their nuts been part of our table , but maybe their already high prices are pushing them to think of charging even higher prices to meet the expenses... Or the store is just small portion of their revenue or been used for marketing purposes.
As many customers enter the store but end up not buying anything , specially their nuts can exceed $30+ /lbs when you include tax. Exactly. $ 14.99+tax / 1/2 lb
I was buying their nuts's box for 39/box .and many time become easy gift to give 2 freinds ..
Now they want $49.00 per box with even new design smaller box., which may end up 50.00/lb
At this point , you have to be nut to buy from this nuts shopđđ
Whoever , I wish them good luck for finding wealthy customers that wouldn't mind paying...
Read moreI've seen these stores across manhattan, but for some reason never took the time to go inside. I absolutely love love. Love the selection of nuts. Dried fruit, Pastries, Candy, Teas, Spice blends... This Location on 3rd Avenue. It's definitely my favorite. The store is pristine, Something I always think about when there is self serve food items .The salespeople are very nice and very helpful. I tend to visit once every week and a half, Trying new items.. My favorites by far are the candied coconut, candied macadamia nuts, the dry roasted unsalted pistachios, raw pumpkin seeds, the sesame kabukim. Prices tend to range from reasonable to bit expensive. But do remember you can buy as little or as much as you want.. There is very little waste. There are no weight minimums, unlike a lot of other places.. You can buy a mere handful of Something or buy 5 pounds of it. Whatever your...
