Old Navy — Local services in New York

I went in the other day to return a pair of pixie pants that I ordered online that didn’t fit me. While heading to the register I saw a cute shirt. I thought oh maybe I can exchange the pants for the shirt. When I go to the register the associate told me I couldn’t exchange the shirt with the pants as online orders can’t be exchanged with in store orders. Which made no sense to me as I used to work for the company at another location. While I worked at old navy and have been to other stores I was always allowed to do an exchange as long as you have a receipt. I did have my receipt. He offered to put my refund to a gift card. I declined because the total for the shirt was less than the amount for the shirt by about a few dollars. Which I wouldn’t have been able to buy anything with the change. I was very tired that day and irritated. I should’ve asked manager to verify if what the associate was telling me because like I said before what the employee said to me made no sense to me. But I didn’t want to make a big to do about it. I left upset and irritated because I really wants the shirt. The shirt was the Keith Haring shirt size large. Store was immaculate and it probably helped that I was there on one of the cooldest nights so far in 2022. Everyone must have been snuggled at home. Staff was extremely friendly and went out of their ways to offer their assistance in locating products sizes and various color combinations. I had shopped only once before in an Old Navy store, so this was my second experience. Assorted collection, however, I was a bit shocked at their prices. It definitely was not the Old Navy bargain prices from prior years. They joined the ranks of the pandemic retailers survivors and increased merchandise pricin as well. I asked a member of the Salesforce who confirmed prices had gone up. Although, I do respect the quality, workmanship and natural fibers used, i thought even with the promotional discounts, the clothing was a bit high given the ranking in which Old Navy sits within the fashion industry. But hey, we have to remember they also are suffering from a price hike in manufacturing and products used to make this All American look we all...

Thanks Old Navy! You bailed me out of a hot spot. In NYC, wore my weather appropriate coat for winter. Ha! It is unseasonably warm. Felt like I was going to faint from the heat of my coat. Looked up and there was Old Navy. It had sales going on, good ones too! Exchanged my hot coat for an Old Navy vest that sold for half off. While there, I took advantage of the pj sale, the sweater sale, and the sock sale. Socks for a dollar? The plaid shirt sale and the scarf sale. Was it me or was the entire store on sale? Lines were long but the wait was not. My socks are soft and comfy. My vest has been used many times since purchase. It has been washed and the color and quality has held. Satisfied...
