My mother was hospitalized and sent to another nursing home for just rehab and that nursing home neglected her which ended up having her being re-hospitalized. After that I was so scared and anxious for my mother to go into another rehab/nursing home.
Valerie eased my concerns. She promised me that my mother will be in good hands and will be taken care of. And let me tell you, she has kept that promise!
Besides visiting Oxford, we also visited other rehab/nursing homes within the area. We did our homework as far as care. How many RNs and CNAs to patient ratio. What won us over was the staff/patient care ratio. We’re happy that we went forward with Oxford. Because of Oxford, my mother is stronger now and able to move around with a rollator. She’s able to walk up and down a few steps. My mother was DEPENDENT on oxygen, but because of the gentle touch and care Oxford provided, she is able to breath on room air, THANK GOD!!! My mother’s levels were not normal, such as her thyroid levels, A1C, cholesterol, etc. But because of Oxford’s care, her levels are back to normal which was hard to come by.
Oxford has been by far so helpful. The rehab employees are so patient and kind. Thank you Oxford Rehab staff to getting my mother where she is today. Thank You Oxford Nursing staff for providing her ADLs and making sure she is receiving her meds and needs. Thank you to the doctors, FNPs, social services for being kind and attentive. Special shout out to Valerie. Valerie was my go to person just in case I had a concern. And she absolutely would take care of our concerns. Everyone at Oxford has been amazing!...
Read moreI had the opportunity to stay at Oxford Nursing Home, and this experience has been unlike any other I've had in previous nursing homes. For the first time, I encountered truly exceptional staff who welcomed me like family from the moment I arrived.
I want to take a moment to highlight a few individuals who provided outstanding care during my stay.
Firstly, I would like to express my heartfelt appreciation for Sheila Medina Suliz, my discharge coordinator. I am incredibly grateful for her hard work and dedication throughout my time at Oxford. Having been disabled all my life, I have never met anyone who believed in me as much as she does. Sheila has inspired me with the core message, “Don’t be your own handicap.” Thanks to her support, I have been able to obtain my LLC while here, and I cannot thank her enough for that.
I also want to acknowledge Mrs. Oliver. Although she wasn’t my social worker, I am thankful for the encouragement and positive conversations we've shared.
A big thank you goes out to Mrs. Bingham, Mrs. Louis, and Mrs. Gina, my CNAs. I have always appreciated the exceptional care they provided and how they consistently go above and beyond for me and their patients.
Thank you all for your dedication and support. I hope to make you proud with my future...
