My roommate and I are both from California and were struggling to find a place in New York because we couldn't visit the places ourselves. It was both of our first times looking for an apartment on our own, and as a second year college student I had no idea how to do any of it. Chanel made all of the meticulous technicalities of finding an apartment extremely clear and concise, and made sure to keep us hopeful when our faith of finding a good apartment wavered in such a hot market. I called or texted her multiple times confused and anxious about whether I filled something out correctly, and I just know any other person would have lost their patience with me... but Chanel stayed gracious with me the entire time and for that I am incredibly grateful. I spoke with Ms. Scarla Pineda about 11/4 or 11/5 about an apartment I was looking to list for rent. Keep in mind I am new to this. The conversation seemed to go pretty well and I was excited about the next steps. I was told that a guy named Alex was supposed to contact me so that he could take pictures of the listing. A week went by and I still hadn’t heard from him, so I decided to be proactive and I called the office back. I spoke to Alex, letting him know that I had spoken to Miss Pineda about him, calling me at some point. Alex seemed not too sure if I had really talked to her so I gave her another call just to clear the confusion and basically she told me that she wrote some email and forgot to send it. Alex and I had made an appointment and after I made that call to Miss Pineda, all of a sudden the appointment was canceled. Fast forward to today and basically I still haven’t heard back from them so I guess they weren’t interested. They claim on their website that if you “Need an agent who knows how to effectively market your home so it sells” to contact them , but something tells me that for some reason, unknown to me, they weren’t ready to effectively market my listing so it could sell....
