I called 3 days in advance to ask about their catering service for a event I was throwing that weekend. I was told I had to come in 2 days prior and the order had to be paid in full. Which I did by the way! When the day came to pick up the order. I got stuck at work and asked my sister to pick it up instead. The order was scheduled to be picked up at 5pm. My sister arrived at the store at 4:50pm. Which she was then told by the front cashier that the order was not ready and they had no knowledge of the order. Another cashier who recognized my sister's face and said she remembered taking the order came to help. The cashier told my sister it would be a hour to a hour and a half wait. The event started at 6pm and it's a hour travel time back to Queens. That means that the food would now get the there at 7pm. -_- My sister asked for the inconvenience could she be compensated with a piece of Salmon while she waited. This is when things got out of hand. The manager said she would need to contact the owner to approve that. Which in my opinion she never did, because after that we never seen or spoke with the manager again. She/he had the cashier call my cell phone a hour later when the food was ready. When I asked were they going to give her the piece of salmon. The cashier put me on hold to speak with the manager. The manager never came on the phone. The cashier came back breaking down telling me she had a line of customers and they'd give my sister some chicken. I explained to her that my sister's a pescetarian that's why she asked for Salmon. She then told me that was the best they could do. You can't offer someone something they don't eat and tell them that's the best you can do. Back and forth with her because she kept relying what the manager had to say. Still the manager never came to the phone. The cashier advised I come down to the store. At this point I'm really at disbelief that I'm going through all of this. Both my sister and I work at food restaurants and how they handled this whole situation was horrible. I will never go back there again. At the end when she came back to the store the cashier offered her whitening fish. Which she declined. I advise you to not waste your time or your money there either! Their customers are not appreciated and their managers obviously DO NOT CARE! Oh and they burnt the baked mac and cheese. I'll attach...
Read moreFirstly, the turkey I ordered was not properly cooked. It was undercooked, pink in the center, and had an unpleasant, raw texture. This is completely unacceptable for a restaurant that prides itself on its food quality. Not only was it unappetizing, but it also posed a serious health risk. The lack of thorough cooking raises concerns about the restaurant's standards and attention to food safety.
Furthermore, the smell emanating from the turkey was off-putting. It had a distinct foul odor that indicated it may have been spoiled or mishandled. It was a clear indication of improper storage or the use of low-quality ingredients. Such negligence in food preparation is inexcusable and undermines the trust customers place in the establishment.
To add to the disappointment, the potato salad I ordered alongside the turkey was slimy and clearly spoiled. The salad had an unpleasant taste and an odd smell, indicating that it had gone bad. This further reinforced my concerns about the restaurant's lack of attention to the freshness and quality of its ingredients.
Upon further investigation, I noticed a pattern in other reviews, particularly those related to orders from Uber Eats. There seems to be a consistent problem with the restaurant serving leftover or spoiled food to customers who order through the delivery service. This raises alarming questions about the restaurant's integrity and its commitment to providing customers with safe and enjoyable dining experiences.
It is crucial for the management of to address these concerns immediately. The issues I encountered with both the uncooked turkey and spoiled potato salad indicate a severe lapse in quality control and food safety procedures. Customers should be able to trust that the food they order is fresh, properly prepared, and safe to consume.
I strongly advise potential customers to exercise caution when ordering from here, especially through Uber Eats. Until the restaurant takes significant steps to rectify these issues and regain customers' trust, I cannot recommend dining at here Overall, my experience at [Restaurant] was deeply unsatisfactory due to the uncooked turkey, the foul odor, and the spoiled potato salad. I hope that this review serves as a wake-up call for the restaurant to address the serious quality and food safety...
Read moreI experience this location from 2 different levels as customer myself and delivery for Uber and DoorDash. ONE as customer pickup/delivery turns the same in time frame to receive food. Now, time frame is not accurate in the app for pickup and delivery. It shows the same 15-20min and it turns to 40-65min. My last experience was 75min spend 1h at location in out asking if they willing to give me my food at all. No one answering the phone and staff is NOT ORGANIZED. It is a mess. Portions vary in amount. Main reason I stop buying there is I am getting wrong food (for example i stead of Steam Veggies I got Broccoli only…etc) and waiting time with no tine frame when I will get my food. Another reason is food is all mixed up together (like mac & cheese goes all over steamed fish etc) containers leaking as well. There is no place to address issues to improve either so once you pay you get what they gave you and bye bye.
As delivery: i had customer complaining for waiting time so much that made me to avoiding orders from Bed Stuy Fish Fry and eventually to stop taking orders completely. I got even flagged once with one order for similar example I personally experienced myself. Now I an living with feedback on my profile. Am not vindictive but I think my obligations is to share All this said.
I ask and talk to few employees all that was done so far they fix hazardous floor - there were half restaurant flooring 2-3 inches with different height. Few tines i witness people almost fell down. Not sure how they got or pass inspection or certification with that floor.
Solution to fix restaurant is simple dedicate pickup spot one side and walking customer other side. No mess over displayed food of 20-30 people showing their phones for picking up orders and yelling. cashier should NEVER TOUCH FOOD which is not the case. Front staff doing everything - except one lady who is enslaved dishing out food. Feel sorry for her she seems is the only one dedicated. Others you have to flirt to get attention - sad. If they feel sorry you may get the food on time or...
