CONGRATS ON DISCOVERING THE BEST MASSAGE THERAPY. I had the BEST massage experience with Chris. I say that as someone who grew up in a family that ran a massage parlor. My mind was blown. Hence the long winded review below.
The other day I woke up feeling so much tension and pain in my body and made an appointment with Chris. The process was conveniently straightforward. I got to the studio and immediately felt taken care of. We sat down to chat about my body and stressors first- which was so refreshing. Usually an intake form is all you get. But Chris genuinely cared about what was going on with my muscles and how to work with and around them.
The massage itself was so incredibly effective. The doll was pampered and THERAPIZED 🙂↕️👌🏼 I had quite a lot of hard knots and areas of inflammation. I’m used to deep tissue massages to have all my muscles beat up in order to feel relaxed. But Chris worked through my problem areas with so much patience and care. My sore muscles were eased and relieved, rather than fought against. My pain was held and my body was supported. I believe that’s what you ought to look for in a massage treatment. To eventually learn to maintain the strength to move around with comfort and sustainability.
Overall the experience was simply amazing. When you pay for a service you expect to be taken care of. With Chris, you receive beyond the treatment itself- human connection- that grounds your body and spirit. Chris is knowledgeable and professional and extremely passionate about the work she does. I felt safe and comfortable sharing my literal bodily vulnerability with her, which was met with so much care and support. Chris truly has the hands of balm to soothe and heal. I cannot recommend it more. You just have to find out on your own. I personally will definitely...
Read moreChris truly exceeded my expectations in all senses. I've always liked massages, but had felt like even a bad massage was good because, well, it's a massage! The tl;dr if you don't want to read the whole review: this is the first time in my life that I will go out of my way to travel to someone regularly rather than going to any decently rated place I find on Google. For those who do like details, read on!
But as my body has become less forgiving as I age and I have had some more acute issues, I've been digging into how to relieve pain, tension, stress, and protect myself physically going forward.
Chris doesn't just give you a massage. She learns who you are as a person and the reasons that you are there - as she asked me questions and started to get to know me, I truly could have talked to her all day in the ways she made me feel comfortable and cared for with her curiosity and soothing nature. The physical space was inviting, calming, and immaculately kept.
And then the actual massage...was kind of mind blowing. I usually can't relax fully into the experience - my mind is always thinking a million thoughts. But here, I felt that she could read exactly what areas needed attention and the types of attention that they needed. She knew both how to deeply work into trouble areas while not causing the discomfort I have felt when seeing other massage therapists. I hadn't really ever experienced that level of intention and thoroughness during a session.
I walked away feeling lighter, taken care of, and like I had concrete ways I could easily take better care of myself between sessions. Could not feel luckier that I...
Read moreOne of the best massage experiences of my life. Don’t think about it, just book the session & experience it yourself. From the initial consultation, you’re made to feel at ease, understood & engaged. When I first arrived, I was made to feel understood, engaged & relaxed before the massage. From there on, I was provided expert manipulation & muscle work to the areas I explained were chronically sore & stiff. After the 1+ hour massage, I felt relief that I had not felt for the last 14 years. I thought it was over but I was pleasantly surprised when I was leaving the massage room, to see the therapist waiting with tea & water in hand, before I left. We chatted for what seemed hours. They circled back on what they observed & felt during the session explaining the techniques used & the muscles at play. They then provided an in depth list of resources/tools I could use for myself if I decided not to return. I quipped that I was grateful for their insight & list of resources, but that providing me with all these resources is risky as a business model since it’s effectively solving the malady their services were designed for. They replied with the kindness of a human who wants to help people without wanting anything in return. they continued for several more minutes advising on what I could do next to improve my quality of life & that’s when I decided that we need more people like her in this field & that I would return. They are a 10000 out of 10 in...
