Peas & Pickles — Local services in New York

Their service and attitude stink. I asked for a tuna salad on a roll and I kid you not, the roll was the size of a chocolate chip cookie. Not worth $5.50 at all. Then, to go pay, there's no sign indicating where the line is and there's no one else standing there except for those customers who were currently being checked out at the two registers. So I stand facing the registers and this woman who just walked up asks if I'm on the line. She then proceeds to go to the just vacant register without giving me a chance to say yes and then one of the cashiers points to the left (barely acknowledging my presence) and says the line is there. They both saw me standing, waiting patiently to be checked out and said nothing to me about where the line was. A kind gentleman who must have noticed what went down let me check ahead of him on the now formed line. The idiot then had the audacity to give me passive aggressive attitude. Took my money, bagged my sandwich, not a thank you or sorry about that. I don't need that kind of nonsense from anyone. I pay for a service and I deserve to get excellent customer service. I recommend to everyone who goes there to go across the street to Front Street Pizza. The gentlemen there are very kind and treat you with respect and the food is good too. Peas and Pickles can waste away for all I care. They need to get some Customer Service Training and Kindness...

BEWARE! Peas & Pickles regularly cheats its customers. I work nearby and only go here when necessary, because the prices are higher than other establishments, which is fine. But they should charge the price that is shown on the item! Instead, the owner, who is always at the registers, will charge a higher price, and hope you don't notice. This has happened to me more than once. I mentioned this to my coworkers, and several others agreed this happened to them. I called out the owner the last time I was there and was upcharged by over a dollar on a $10 total. This time, she charged me $23.99 plus tax on an item that is clearly marked $23.00. This woman is skimming $1 or more on every transaction. Honestly, this is a criminal organization and I would...

Very nice supermarket that seems independent. We were visiting the neighbourhood and went in to buy drinks, it turnt out into a little shopping spree as they have a really nice assortment of products (from fresh food to everything you need). It’s lucky for the neighbourhood to have such a little gem nearby! The store is clean and well maintained. I see all the comments about the owner being unfriendly and rude - it is true that when we went in, the way we were looked at was really strange. However, having a little chat with the lady / owner when paying for our items, she opened up and was actually friendly. Don’t judge a book by its cover :) Extra points for the black cat walking...
