Streb is an amazement and represents what is authentic and true in New York in terms of innovative dance and acrobatic culture. Growing up as a dancer in those glorious 1970's, we all paid attention to Elizabeth Streb and her intellectual and boundary-pushing approach to presenting movement. Her magic is the template for this sort of space, and she continues to inspire and motivate. I used to run a similarly malleable acrobatic/dance space in LIC before the pandemic , very much inspired by Elizabeth's journey. Last weekend I collaborated with Streb to make an immersive event for a high level client, and was utterly charmed by their attention to detail and the warm welcome into their world. Having run my own warehouse, I'm a rather fussy critic of flow and safety within a space that has rigging equipment , aerial apparatus, and an abundance of obstacles, and I was enormously pleased with how they navigated my group , rules in place, but allowing for fun and improvisation. Shoutouts to Bobby H-T with his silky yet impish temperament and problem-solving prowess, Ayal and his nimble team of flyers and Jackie guiding some enthusiastic trampoline jumpers without incident. Excellent event. I highly recommend Streb to throw your next party.

My fiancée (now wife) and I were - to put it mildly - distraught when our venue canceled the night before our sold-out cabaret and two nights before our wedding. As we featured several acts with aerialists, replacement venues were nigh impossible to come by at such short notice. And yet - in a testament to the wonderful, beautiful, supportive creative community of artists in our city, Bobby and Streb were there to catch us. Despite not knowing us, despite the short notice, and despite having a show that evening, Bobby returned my call and in hours had us in the studio working through an impromptu dress rehearsal. And the following day, we held one of the most memorable shows I've ever produced, back-to-back with the incredible artists at Streb's Friday Night SLAM. Everybody involved was professional, prompt, competent, supportive, and in all ways at the top of their game. I have never been more proud of my community than I was that night. Streb knocked it out of the park, and we gained so many friends. We will absolutely be back (next time, under considerably less duress!), and we cannot wait!

I have been fortunate enough to train at Streb on numerous occasions, and found myself a great and productive time in their immaculate facilities, and conducive creative environment. The good Bobby Hedglin-Taylor and staff are delightful hosts, and the exciting background company of flying trapeze, the highly mesmerizing unison of the Streb Action Team in rehearsal on a gigantic human/hamster wheel and other impressive apparatuses, and other concurrent aerial classes, frame an inclusivity, where one feels surrounded by positive energy and inspiration. I also performed at one of the Friday Slam shows, which celebrates and showcases a variety of local, established, and up and coming talent, and had a most excellent experience. I recommend visiting Streb for classes, space rental, or any and all circus related adventures, as they are a cultural landmark and pillar of NYC’s educational and performing arts community.

This was my initial reason for going to Brooklyn, and what fun it is. :) Remember when you were young and jumped around and just were silly, well that's what Streb has for adults, kids, and adult kids.

Streb is the last name of the owner whom is a performer, artist, director, and innovator.

Streb offers classes for: Trampoline, Trapeze, Flipping, Aerial Silks, Pop Action (it's an original discipline, and it's addictive), German wheel, and more.

We discovered Streb during NYC Dance week when I was able to take a free Parkour class, oh yeah they have Parkour....WHAT!? Yup and it's fun and easy going. The Space is pretty big but transforms into different options utilizing the space in an efficient and awesome manner.

There are pads all over so bang yourself all over and have fun bring your kids to the kids classes. It's a public space which means you can just drop in and watch classes, not only that the staff are all performers who rehearse and you can watch... WHAT!? Yup they are cool folks who can flip, split, walk on there hands and perform at the London Olympics. Yeah this is a spot to...
