I recently got a tattoo from Eva at her studio on Grand Street and the entire process was exceptional from start to finish.

I know it comes up time and time again in reviews, but it cannot be overstated — from the moment you step into the studio at Atelier Eva, you feel as though you’ve entered into a spa. Eva has curated a truly incredible environment laced with tranquility. Everything from the furniture to the flow of the space, the gentle sound of moving water, the serene music playing, the ample natural light, the plants, and even the design of the bathrooms exudes serenity. I could not imagine a more comfortable space to get tattooed.

Eva herself is a consummate professional. She took tremendous time and care to understand my intentions for my tattoo and imbued it with her own vision and style. Each step of the process exemplified the care and professionalism Eva brings to her art. This is my third tattoo (first from Eva) and getting tattooed by Eva was distinct in a few ways.

First, I never felt rushed. From our initial consultation to the design process and finally the sizing and placement, Eva gave me the space and agency to feel confident in the tattoo. She encouraged me to take my time, consider my options and voice my questions and feedback to her. She is not only a talented artist, she’s a thoughtful collaborator who brought my vision to life. Unsurprisingly, this relaxed, no-pressure approach left me with a tattoo that I’m in love with. It’s more perfect than I could have imagined.

Second, Eva has the most gentle touch of anyone who has tattooed me. Her delicate style of tattooing is so comfortable and relaxing that I actually fell asleep while she worked on the tattoo. As such, my aftercare and healing process was a breeze. I experienced minimal to no discomfort or bleeding in the days following my appointment and the tattoo has healed beautifully.

Of note, the entire staff of Atelier Eva is just as incredible. They are professional, informative and contribute to the overall experience. Wendy helped me book and confirm my appointment and was patient and kind with addressing any questions, concerns and aftercare needs that I had. Thanks, Wendy!

I had an overwhelmingly positive experience at atelier eva - the booking process and appointment from start to finish were an absolutely stellar experience. The space is so clean, comfortable, modern, and the vibes were, dare I say IMMACULATE. For a 7-8 hour session, I felt so comfortable and relaxed with ample space between clients and an extremely calming ambiance. Everyone was so professional and communicative on what the process would be like and what to expect. They send a ton of reminders and emails to make sure you're prepared for your appointment.

For the artist - Rob was an absolutely amazing artist to work with. From the design process to placement to ink on skin, I felt extremely cared for and attended to. You can really see his passion and love for art and tattoos with the amount of time, focus, and energy he puts into each and every design. He was able to bring my vision to life, and every single aspect, thought, and detail was considered. I had some trouble deciding on placement, but his patience and input really gave me reassurance and confidence in my final decision. And to walk into the space to see firsthand his pure joy and excitement in creating this piece with me just added so much more to my experience. The outcome of course was far beyond expectations. 1000/10 recommend!

I've had a range of positive and negative experiences at other tattoo shops in the city, so every new tattoo feels a little anxiety inducing when visiting a shop for the first time. From the moment I walked in, I felt so welcomed and all my nerves just fell away. I really felt like I was in good hands the entire time here, like a sense of belonging I don't always get at other places. I didn't feel afraid to ask questions or take my time figuring out placement and last minute details. And as a result, the piece by Rob (serious GOAT for micro realism/fine line) completely blew me out of the water! Honestly can't imagine going anywhere else for tattoos anymore. Ash Aurich at Atelier Eva is absolutely amazing! This was my 6th tattoo, but first with her, and I can’t go to anyone else now- my next appointment is already booked for my next piece!

Ash is truly an artist, working with each client to ensure the piece is exactly to their liking. I sent Ash a few pictures of my dog and she gave me well over 4 options to choose from. After I picked she showed me 6 different sizes I could try to find exactly what worked for the placement I wanted. Having gotten a tattoo of my dog I was so nervous how it would turn out, but the piece she created was perfect and identical to the picture I provided.

Ash was incredibly patient with every decision in the process, constantly checked in to see if I was doing okay or needed a break, and provided a clean, safe, and welcoming environment. My tattoo healed with no issue at all and I don’t even need a touch up.

I absolutely love Ash’s style both of fine line and realism, providing the opportunity to mix and match her work to build the collection on my body. I am currently working with her on my next piece and have no doubt it will be stunning, exactly what I want, fairly priced, and I’ll feel at ease in the studio through the entire process. I’ve already recommended numerous friends and family to Ash, as I cannot imagine a better artist to trust with their next pieces.
