Portabella — Local services in New York

The only reason I'm giving one star is because of the customer service I received the following day.I went in to get some clothes for an interview,I let the retailer(a woman of Indian heritage) know that it wasn't for no club,party or date,so I didn't need anything expensive because I'll probably only wear it once or twice.After repeating myself like three times that it was for an interview and not no party(because she kept trying to upsell)and didn't care about the customer service first.On top of that she snuck a tie for $20 by just showing me the tie matched well with the shirt and then at checkout she began having a conversation with me,only to distract me from looking at the receipt,it worked cause I didn't notice until I got home.The icing on the cake was when she lied to me about an item that came with the shirt and tie,she said that the item was only available for kids sizes.wgich of course was another lie.Im very disappointed being it was my first time in the store,I dont recommend her if you go to the store on 125 street and you see her run,run fast and go seek another retailer in the store trust me you'll your gonna...

Of course, I would give this menswear store all five stars because I've been coming here since high school. Ràmon (also known as shorty) have helped me pick out the perfect outfit for any occasion. But, the tailor downstairs is nasty and disrespectful. I personally would go to another tailor besides the one here in Portabella because he will simply bark on you for no apparent reason and then dismiss you.

Dont like this store, very unorganized and manager team is neglectful. They sold me mens pants with a dysfunctional zipper. First the pants cost 34.99 and when i gave the manager 40.00 he wanted to keep my penny. I know most consumers dont like there brown penny but i do and its by comnerce law to give the customer their correct change in exchange of a sell. I ended having to replace the zipper 20.00.
