I was hit by a taxi while crossing the street in March of 2023. I had surgery on my right & left rotator cuffs 8 months apart. Even though I have always been in great shape, my recovery has been tough. In the accident, both biceps were also detached & I'm 62 years old. In the past year since the surgery, I have been to some of the top PT facilities in NYC, including Jag One, Professional PT and Mt. Sinai in Union Square & SPEAR. Those 4 facilities were good, but when I started with PT of The City 3/1/2024, I saw measurable differences in my strength and flexibility within a week, and it progressed from there. Deborah is the Director of PT at the Upper East side location. Hands down, she is the best PT I have encountered. The exercises that Deborah started me on were pointed, and effective. Some of the exercises that Deborah introduced into my regimen were totally new to me. With my situation and most injuries, you need someone to stretch you. Some of the stretches that Deborah is assisting me with, I could never do by myself. This is THE HUGE difference with PT of The City and Deborah. The other facilities didn't take the extra time. Yes, they did the basic stretch you out and check flexibility, but Deborah goes the extra mile. She is making sure you get a good stretch in the target areas. THAT'S WHAT I NEED!! Someone who cares about me enough to do the extra stuff. I know I said a lot about Deborah, but she deserves all the praise. If I had Deborah a year ago, I have no doubt in my mind, that my progress would have been much better & faster. It's not only the series of exercises, but Deborah has an awesome attitude. She's always happy, always positive and always energetic. I am there to work and get better, but having someone like Deborah makes it easier. And the front desk staff is consistently happy and pleasant as well. Khoulod in particular has been awesome. Very helpful with all the scheduling, and reminders the day before. Always a warm smile. Always making me feel that I am at home. I love this place. It's all about the personal touch from people that really care. Check them out, you will not leave them, guaranteed. To think, this started with a postcard in my mailbox. I was skeptical, but PT of the City is so close to my home so I tried it. WOW!!!!! Best...
Read moreMy mom had her first appointment with Liza for post op wrist surgery therapy, and we couldn’t be happier with the experience. Liza is incredibly pleasant and knowledgeable, which made my mom feel comfortable and confident throughout the session. We came to the appointment thinking we didn’t really need therapy and will maybe just attend one session, but Liza’s expertise and the exercises she introduced completely changed our minds. Her knowledge and approach impressed us, and we’ll definitely be returning regularly for her care. We highly recommend Liza and the entire welcoming staff at...
Read moreI had a fantastic experience at PT of the City on Lexington Ave in New York. Liza and Alex were my physical therapists for 12 sessions, and they were both excellent professionals—skilled, attentive, and kind. They took great care of me after my knee surgery for a meniscus tear, and I’ve seen significant improvement in my physical condition thanks to their expertise.
Brianna, the office manager, was also wonderful—professional, friendly, and always welcoming. The entire team made my recovery process smooth and comfortable. Highly recommend this place for anyone in need of...
