The Ralph Lauren men's store and mansion is by far one of the best, friendly and inviting retailers on the block. It is massive yet extremely spacious and well designed so whatever you are looking for their friendly employees and staff are happy to help and show you where xyz is located. They are all incredibly professional and dressed to the nines. Ralph Lauren definitely has put in the effort to have this store and their employees provide the utmost level of surface whether browsing or shopping. Everyone is in well fitted I assume uniforms that they did not hold back on providing high quality, stylish, let alone knowledgeable and able to answer basically a simple question to where something is located to specific details of an item you see and are interested in. The manager of the store David is probably one of the only managers on the block compared to the other luxury retailers that will genuinely go above and beyond for you whatever it is you ask him or pass by and ask. Wasn't aware gentleman I asked when browsing was the manager and he set me up and provided great advice and opinion on what pieces and labels I would best be suited for after telling him what I was browsing around for getting ready for fall/winter. With that said there wasn't a single employee I interacted with that didn't provide knowledgeable, upbeat and friendly service. The store also takes the COVID-19 protocols in act very seriously which was comforting. With the store being so large, employees all wearing necessary PPE along with the store coordinating employee PPE be stylish and pleasant to look at versus others who have their employees wear basic cheap blue 3-ply. This even made a difference in the entire experience. Even having shopped here pre-covid every visit is a new and enjoyable what I can only label as experience. Highly recommend. While prices range - whatever you may be looking for it seems they can find something to fit your budget and leave confident and happy with your purchase and...
Ā Ā Ā Read moreSo unfortunate for this store to be such a beautiful place, elegant by all means and with products carefully and beautifully displayed, but with such a lame service from a few of their SAs.
Upon my entrance, an evidently white blonde woman of age approached me offering her help, in a matter of seconds her attitude turned pretentious and entitled, answering to my questions almost as if I were less than her or even a bother to her, which I would attribute to the fact that I am not from America nor look like a white person, or maybe I donāt look classy or wealthy enough for the brand.
I kept my manners throughout and was decided to buy something I liked until I saw her walking towards the checkout area, where she had left a couple of shirts she showed me and I didnāt like, she proceeded to fold them while chitchatting with the cashier, I overheard her saying āa complete waste of timeā followed by something else and then releasing a rude laughter that felt intended to be heard.
I immediately dropped the shirt I was going to buy in the closest counter and left feeling confused and honestly undermined.
I canāt help but wonder⦠isnāt a brand such Polo supposedly an ambassador of class by excellence? And if so, donāt we all agree that class has everything to do with kindness and manners opposite to mean and selective behavior?
Deeply disappointed, if the brand is contributing to create a world with such values, then I definitely want to stay away from it and bring my business somewhere else; I encourage you to...
Ā Ā Ā Read moreFantastic store! Even among the Madison Ave. boutiques, this store really shines in terms of service. I previously felt that John Varvatos had the best customer service on Madison Ave, with the store staff being very receptive and welcoming, but Ralph Lauren took the cake.
My first visit, I was browsing some cufflinks and watch fobs, and the sales attendant, without knowing whether or not I'd make a purchase (my wife and I had not indicated any interest one way or the other), he spent about 15 minutes with us just walking us through the items, telling us their history, letting me fill him in on some of it (I'm a big fan of antiques, especially antique fashion), and being very conversational. When we did want to buy, he went and checked every floor, including the window displays, for items that we might want so that we would have the best choice.
The second visit was much the same. I went to buy a new suit, and the sales rep was incredibly thorough in searching the store (eventually taking the suit off a display mannequin). Afterwards, he quickly brought a tailor to take measurements, brought me a (surprisingly good) mimosa while I was getting fitted, and was very conversational and talked about options for accessorizing a very unique suit.
Ralph Lauren has found a new customer in me when it comes to suiting and shoes: their customer service was so above and beyond, that I will keep coming back...
