I started my hair journey a year and a half ago when I walked into RARA studios with black hair, that I had unknowingly damaged using box color, and wanting to go blonde. I had been told by many stylists before that they would NOT touch my hair due to the box color. At RARA I had no issue. They let me know that it would be a long process but that if I was patient they could take me from jet black to a beautiful blonde balayage look. I met with Dori who was extremely patient with me and my damaged hair. he advised me on what products to use and kept it real when it came to how long the process would take and whether my expectations would be met. Finally after about a year and a half I finally got to the color I wanted. I won’t lie, after my first session I was skeptical because my hair was a brownish red which I didn’t want but I was assured that I just had to trust the process. I woke up yesterday literally thinking omg my hair is so ugly i need a change NOW. i went on tik tok to look for hair salons in queens, found Rara studios, called them and luckily they had availability for me to come in the same day!
