This was weirdest experience i had at any hotel I've ever been to. I came here with my wife and the minute we arrived to our first room we noticed there wasn't any heat coming from the ac unit. So we tried everything to get it working. After that we called front desk for someone to check it out and the maintenance guy came several times trying to fix it, when he finally admitted to it being broken. Then he continued to tell us they control the temperature from a computer downstairs. So instead of being with us in our room for an hour, they could have just turned the heat on from their computer... but the maintenance man did let us know they wanted to save energy. Anyway after they finally gave us another room (which the woman downstairs told us they didn't have another room) we had heat problems in there as well. So of course our friend came back to spend some quality time with us. Our toilet clogged pretty easily. And those stains on the curtains were blood, and one side seemed to be cut with scissors... we also asked for toilet paper for the morning and never got it, but we did get a room service woman knocking on our door at 10am when we asked for 12pm check out... only to have her knock again at 11am, then recieved 2 calls before 12... it's like we couldn't relax at all. Not to mention they gave us a room with two separate child sized beds, which the sheets probably weren't washed properly. My wife had huge bumps on her leg in the morning probably from spider bites, and i don't even want to tell you how im feeling... just keep your shorts on and AVOID THIS PLACE...

I thought it is in the same quality and booked it again, but this time it was awful and very disappointing. Their breakfast was nothing comparing with the last time I stayed there. I paid 12$ for breakfast and I made a big mistake. I could bought sausage, cheese, and egg sandwich from Dunkin Donut in 4$. They didn't have no eggs or sausage for breakfast. Also, their cupcake and cookies were not fresh at all. The person who set up the breakfast didn't use gloves and touch everything with hand. They didn't have special container for milk and juice (cap closed with tap) and put them in a open wide cap pitchers. Wireless was awful and didn't work properly. I told front desk twice, but nothing happened. They told me they will talk to manager and call me in 10 min, but they didn't. I had to use my cellphone data whole time that I stayed there. The place for breakfast was so small only 7 tables. It was much bigger before on 2014, but now they divided in 2 sections and use this small section for breakfast. People who stayed in the room next door made a lot of noise during night and early in the morning. Their kids always jumping, screaming, and running. I couldn't sleep well and woke up around 5:30 in the morning because of their noise. Very rude people. I added breakfast 12$ to my booking and I got confirmation in my email the total price is 356.01$ with breakfast, but they charged me 357.78$. I showed them my confirmation page, but they...
Read moreThis is not a luxury hotel, and it's not in a trendy area. (It's not a bad area, it just doesn't have much to offer the tourist.) The key is that the nearest subway is 4 minutes walk away, and the nearest major-line subway is 10 minutes walk. That line, the 7, gets you directly to the Javits Center in 20 minutes, Times Square in maybe 15 minutes.||Rooms are decent size. We had 2 queen beds which took up most of the room so there was no desk or chair, a bit of an issue for working on a laptop. I suspect the rooms with one bed would have a desk and chair.||Bathroom had a really nice deep tub and shower. Kindo f tight on counter space to store your toiletries, but otherwise perfectly good. Heat and A/C work well.||There are only 4 rooms per floor and 9 floors. Although the claim that a continental breakfast is included, at this time they are still on a Covid footing and providing just coffee. There is a nice deli 1 minute walk from the hotel, which has big portions but no seating. An Irish pub also 1 minute had very good food and beer, large portions, and reasonable prices.||Note that you can book on AirBNB (and they absorb the booking fee), and if you do, the room tax is paid when you arrive, not as part of the AirBNB payment. I think this relates to the new NYC regs for AirBNBs. In any case, it's not sketchy or skirting any laws, but you might be caught off guard if you think you already paid for the taxes...
