LIC Manhattan View Hotel — Hotel in New York

This hotel is the worst hotel I have ever stayed at. The hotel is low class The parking is terrible The staff is the worst. I will only base my review on the parking situation. The staff …this sarcastic rude girl with fake blonde hair and fake voice tone and fake apology lol let’s just say shes just not fit to be doing customer service maybe they should have her doing housekeeping or something because the housekeeper was way nicer & kinder than her anyways my vehicle was damaged in their parking lot!!! I came back in one night from my day out and the parking lot was full the rude staff came outside and told me to squeeze myself and fit into a spot which was very difficult to fit in. Anywho I was able to fit in the parking spot. The next morning as I was trying to leave their front driveway was blocked the staff parks their vehicle (BMW suv) blocking the driveway so I had to find an alternative way to get out which they have a square cut to drive through with 2 parking spots front & back making it difficult to drive out…my vehicle was damaged along the side where my baby is sitting in a car seat. I went back into the lobby to ask to speak to the manager. She continues to tell me the manager is busy to wait. I came back to the lobby asked again she was so disrespectful and RUDE to tell me she is the manager the manager said she is the manger lol I have NEVER heard that before so unprofessional she continues to try and argue with me poor customer service skills she has and continues to yell across the lobby as I walk to the elevator “ so sorry that YOU scratch your car” very sarcastic rude person. She had no understanding the most they could’ve done was just compensate my parking charges since the parking spot the staff member advise me to park in was inconvenient also for their on staff parking and blocking the driveway. I have taken my full videos & pictures of this incident and I plan on taking this further as this is not the right way to treat paid hotel guests. I like the fact that she said they have camera around their premise so they could see her outside walking showing me where to park. Please don’t get fool because they offer parking and they don’t sincerely care for their hotel guests all their reviews responds are so fake & repeatedly responded!!!!! You will never see me at this hotel ever again. Please if you like the location stay at HOME 2suites next door a big upgrade from shitty LIC Manhattan View Hotel. And get rid of that fake blonde head staff member she is bringing down the hotel class even more. Please do not respond to my review with your “ silly advice ” & tell me to deal with this through my insurance…I am very well aware on how to handle...

My husband and I stayed for two night here. It was a okay room at first until we looked around. Yes the view was nice but it wasn’t really tidy in the room. The bathroom wasn’t really cleaned and there was hair in the shower and on the bathroom floor… Also, our room was HOT. The air conditioning was not working. We ended up going down to the front desk at about 1:30am to see what was going on. The attendant said everything should be fine so they moved us to another room. That room was even hotter!! The AC was not working and the temperature was creeping up. The next two days were going to be about 75-80 degrees outside. We had the worst night sleep as we were sweating all night and were uncomfortable. Also, the beds are as hard as a ROCK.

The next day, we complained again and the manager was present. He said the hotel was having an HVAC issue and that the workers would be up to fix it soon. We waited about two hours and no one came. We ended up going back downstairs and ran into the HVAC guy who said the hotel told him last minute that the AC was broken. He said it should be fixed today. The front attendant and the manager assured us that by the time we came back later today, the AC would be fixed. We came back to our room around 7pm and the room was 84 degrees Fahrenheit!!! The front desk girl said she did not know the AC was broken and no one mentioned anything to her... We are PISSED. I have asthma and this heat is making it hard to breathe. We still paid a pretty penny for this room. The least it can do is have AC for their guests!! That is a health issue…

The front desk girl ended up grabbing us a fan for our room which helped, but still was uncomfortable… The room fluctuated between 78° and 84°F. Also, I was looking through some reviews about this hotel and about a week ago multiple people said they found bedbugs!!! I instantly started freaking out. I didn’t see any as I Thoroughly examined the mattress. So I hope they’re not in this room. Either way the service here is terrible. The only reason why I gave it two stars versus one is because the area is great. DO NOT COME HERE….My friends and I took a trip to New York and we arrived at the hotel at 3:30pm and in our email it said we could check into our room anytime after 3pm. When we arrived the front desk told us that our room was not ready yet and it should be about twenty minutes so we went to grab some lunch across the street and we were gone for over 20 minutes. When we got back they told us room still wasn’t ready so we sat in their lounge area that had no air conditioning and was very hot and uncomfortable we wait about 20 minutes and then I went up to the front desk and they said it still wasn’t ready. I asked for an estimate and they said about 10 more minutes. I went up again after 10 minutes and they finally said the room was ready. WE DID NOT GET INTO OUR ROOM UNTIL 5:30. RIDICULOUS. When we got into our it was the most below average smallest hotel room you could literally ever walk into. Literally two minutes after walking into our room an employee walked into our to check if the AC was working and he just put his hand over the vent and said “yes it works”. After he left we all realized that it was not getting cooler in the room and the temperature continued to get higher at one point it was 80 degrees. We went to the front desk to complain and they brought us a small portable AC that really did not do anything. We were so hot we wanted to find some ice and we were walking around trying to find the ice machine but the machine on our floor HAD NO ICE AND ALL THE OTHER FLOORS HAD NO ICE MACHINES. OUR TOILET WAS ALSO FLOODING AND THE SHOWER WAS HORRIBLE. We were leaving the hotel later and asked about parking because when we originally checked in they blew us off about parking since we could not get into our room yet but our car had been sitting in their parking lot for hours. They told us that their parking lot was full and that we would have to move our car somewhere else to either street parking or a garage so we did BUT THE PARKING SPOT WE WERE ORIGINALLY PARKED IN WAS EMPTY THE ENTIRE TIME WE WERE THERE.
