Nuts Factory — Local services in New York

The workers are racist and biased. I went to the store on 2/3/2024. I was not greeted, however the Caucasian couple who walked in right after was greeted with a generous “hello.” Upon going to the register to pay for my items, the cashier didn’t even acknowledge me he just grabbed my items, weighed them and looked at me. But he managed to make conversation with the same Caucasian couple who was on the line behind me asking them did they find everything okay, who they’re buying for and making jokes. I found that extremely upsetting and disgusting being that he is a Black Caribbean man and I am a Black Caribbean woman. His actions were biased and disgusting and I felt degraded. He couldn’t even finish my transaction without engaging in conversation with that couple and laughing and joking with them. Even though I picked up my goods, he didn’t even say thank you have a nice day he just totally ignored me and acted as if I wasn’t even a paying customer. What is the difference between my money and their money? Were in the same store buying the same type of product so what makes them better than me? And I noticed on all the negative comments , there are no owner feedback meaning that they don’t care but I will make it a priority to let people know just how disgusted in the customer service is at this store. I would never shop...

First, why have product that’s based on weight and not have any scales except for the one at the register. I’ll tell you why, it’s to instigate people to get a little more than what they want. They have weekly sales that require a pound but apparently we’re not supposed to know if it’s a point till we get to the register. This puts us in a position to “make sure it’s over a pound and not a pound”. Additionally they don’t fare the packages like businesses are supposed to do. Packaging costs should be factored and built into the price, not tacked on at the end. If you have 4 small amounts of nuts, be prepared to pay the extra cost in weight. I’ve been in the food industry for almost 20 years and never have I seen such blatant disregard for the user experience and at the same time a shady way to increase their profits. I’ve emailed them a couple times and apparently no one monitors the email or they simply just don’t care. Needless to say, they’re nuts! This nuts factory is NUTS!!! They have an astounding selection of not only plain nuts but all kinds of roasted and flavored nuts some with unusual flavors like falafel, tiramisu, Oreo cookie and many, many more.

It's not only nuts but it's a sea of loose spices, candies, gummies, all kinds of Turkish delight, Halvah, unusual loose teas, salty snacks and dried fruits and specialty food products, protein balls there's definitely something for everyone!

The cool thing is you can taste anything in the store you want.
