My family has been patronizing Robin’s for decades, and we’ve even referred them to others, but our most recent experience was truly disgusting. A member of my family had earrings serviced at Robin’s. She didn’t check the earrings before leaving the store because she truly trusted Robin and the quality of his work. When she went to wear the earrings, she noticed that there was something wrong with the back, and when she went back to have it corrected, he actually yelled at her- screaming, cursing, and ranting at an elderly woman in her 70s who was just trying to receive adequate customer service. Any business worth patronizing would have told her how they could help, or admit that they can’t help her. There is never any reason to curse at a customer. He even went as far as to tell her that he doesn’t need her as a customer because he has millions of dollars. My family will never do business here again. They have eroded decades of trust and destroyed what would have been a multigenerational business relationship. I am disgusted and disappointed. I truly hope that nobody else ever has this kind of experience, but that seems like anyone is at risk of ill treatment if they continue to spend their money here. My mother (a periodic, but long time customer) came in today because she realized that one of the earring backs of a an earring she brought for repair was replaced with a different style of earring back. She hasn’t worn the earrings since bringing them home and noticed the discrepancy recently. She is 72. This man proceeded to cuss my mother OUT in the most atrocious way, accusing her of trying to rob him. For an earring back.
