Romeo & Juliette Laser Hair Removal — Local services in New York

So, let's start with the reason many people don't write reviews for this kind of thing: it's public, with my name right out there (thanks Google!) and it's an embarrassing topic. But, this place is too good for those things to thwart me.

I priced out a few laser places before committing to Romeo and Juliet. They were not the cheapest but they had the best equipment with the newest lasers and most thorough staff. I know many people who have spend thousands on laser just for it to be completely ineffective. I can tell you right now that this place is the best. I mean it. THE. BEST. Here's why:

I am a middle eastern woman. So, darker skin that keeps color, keeps a tan, and is tough for most lasers for hair removal. I also was blessed with genes like a wildebeest. Or, like a gorilla if you prefer. Or maybe a black lab. Either way, I've been made fun of all my life by peers, lovers, and boyfriends for my unfortunate genetics. So, when I was given hope of hairlessness, I actually cried. A lot. Not only the time and expense would be saved,: no more going through hundreds in razorblades or nicking myself and bleeding all over my favorite silk dress--but also, I would save hours. I could go camping with ease! I could forget to shave for 5 days and STILL take an impromptu dip in the pool in my new bikini with friends. This would be absolutely an impossibility before. When I say impossible, I mean full-body razor burn and bumps and 5 o clock shadow impossible. I committed to basically a full body removal for 7 sessions. The change from session to session was DRAMATIC! I still have some tough little stubborn spots that need a bit more time but let's just say that 97% of places treated are now pore-less, smooth, buttery, and I shave maybe once every 8-10 days now just because of the 12 or 13 random long blonde hairs that persist on my calf or thigh. Besides those, baby, I am a smooth goddess of happiness, saved time, saved stress, and much better confidence and self esteem. I'm not paralyzed by my body anymore. I am not limited by my fear or embarrassment, as vain as that may sound...but look, after being publicly made fun of so many times, it just really hurts--emotionally. Those people suck. But still, it brings me so much joy to not have my confidence or choices dictated by my genes. I can wear a skirt after 9 days of no shaving. I can get into a bikini after 15 days--is that incredible or what?!?!?!?!?? They said I was one of the fairest women they had ever seen. And, one year later, I feel like a goddess. My only regret is that I did not get this done YEARS AND YEARS AND YEARS ago. Please don't wait. Save your money. Start now. Make a payment plan. Just do it. This was one of the most transformative experiences of my life because it freed me and allowed me to just be ME without all of the hurt, anger, frustration, fear, shame, and full-body...

UPDATE 4 MONTHS LATER To update everyone and because this center made it seem all my fault, I have attached a photo of my neck. This area I was assured would be super easy to treat and I would see immediate results. After almost 2 years of sessions, the hair is back 4 months after stopping laser. Im back to shaving every week. Another major point was my intolerance for any discomfort. That is a complete lie, the person who wrote this response has never even been in a room with me while having my laser and all technicians can attest that I never once complained about the pain so please no lies. The fact that they are surprised by the review shows how little they know about customer service. A better way to handle this would have been to acknowledge early on that the treatment was not working for me instead of making me paying thousands of dollars over 2 years. GOOD LUCK to you and anyone choosing this place.

I had been a customer for almost 2 years starting December 2019, targeting the back and front/back areas for laser treatments. The staff is friendly and accomodating but 6 sessions and 6 follow ups later the hair intensity barely diminished.

The center convinced me for another package, following a more intensive (and painful) treatment. 2 sessions in that package, I get a severe reaction to it and dark marks on my neck and arm. Noone follows up on my condition or checks up and the marks take weeks to go away. Noting that I had been a customer for 2 years, always on time and never disrespectful. 2 months after that, the hair is back is most of the areas treated, even the relatively “easy” neck area. I needed to start shaving regularly again.

The center took no accountability on that and the only solution proposed was to keep paying and coming in for sessions, that are obviously not working. So consider that before spending 5000$+ for something that doesnt work, even if it looks fancy and...

My experience with this business has been first rate from the first telephone call of inquiry to the decision to trust their expertise and services.

I have have used multiple services consecutively based on my satisfaction with the results and the level of professionalism and warmth from the team of professionals who work here.

One of the many qualities about this company that I appreciate is that the owners make sure that they keep their state of the art equipment in first rate condition and the premises are immaculate. In addition, they are engaged in active professional development to keep abreast of the technological advancements and best practices standards.

Since the Pandemic, they have taken great care and precaution to ensure a safe and clean environment for the safty and welfare of their clients and themselves. The level of thoughtfulness continues to be appreciated.

I also appreciate how knowledgeable all team members are about the services and the fact that realistic expectations based on age, genetics and health are considered when discussing treatment plans. In essence they do not over promise and under deliver. Everything is transparent.
