Update 2.25.25: The new open air entrance across from the 24hr attended entrance (which is great for safety) is nice. Clean, fresh and new. Can't wait to see the new elevators! +1 star
This is a very convenient station...and the only one in this area (serving Ave Z & Voorhies). Having the Q & the B is very helpful, esp during peak times, and you can still get a seat (unlike, closer stops to Manhattan). However, it is poorly maintained and needs updates. And the front of the station is dark, dreary and full of homeless folks, sadly. It doesn't feel particularly safe at night (from a woman's perspective at least). It is close to a lot of the good eateries in this area. It really needs a nice upgrade and cleaning! Taxis do stop on the "Sheepshead Bay Rd" exit and it's a quick (mostly covered) walk to several bus lines...

When i'm coming home from school though I see an old man who has set up a small fruit shop in front of the station which I think is quite strange? Whenever it rains the rain leaks into the station by going down the walls. The station is a bit dirty and needs to be cleaned up a bit. There are also lots of homeless people outside of the station. Read moreExpress B and local Q stop here. There are countdown clocks on the platforms and in the station entrance. E15th Street was closed off from Avenue Z to Sheepshead Bay Road a few years ago. The closure caused some connecting bus routes to change here, mainly the B36, which you now have to catch on Ave Z. The B49 and B4 are also available nearby. No elevators here but the station was...
