Update: they were extremely kind and proactive in offering to improve my experience for next time - including a generous refund for the past experience. Excited to go back here and will provide and updated review at that time ❤️
Strengths: Painless cuticle work on my hands and very detailed Offers a 4 hands service which is quite time efficient Pretty reasonably priced! Very kind women Other than my thumbs, the nails looked great after
Development Points: The chair setup for 4 hands is INCREDIBLY uncomfortable. It’s really high and the technician needs you to point your feet to work on them. You need ballet training to keep your feet in the pointed position for over an hour… The cuticle work on my toes was rough… got nicked in 2-3 toes and my big toe had inflammation in the cuticle area for at least a week after that. Unacceptable to be honest The polish application on the hands wasn’t close enough for 3-4 nails, looked like a week of growth after the mani ended Got a fraud alert while trying to pay with my credit card - pretty odd given that this is a well known bank and I’ve traveled the world with this and never had any such issue. Could be one off but it’s enough to make me not want...
Read moreI had to book a nail appointment on the day of my trip. The day before, I messaged the salon asking if the technician would be able to handle the design I wanted. I even said that if not, I’d pick something simpler. They reassured me not to worry, that everything would be fine.
When I came in, the technician immediately cut my cuticle and it wouldn’t stop bleeding. I was the one calming her down, saying “it happens, just leave this finger for now and finish it later.” I wasn’t really watching what she was doing, but when I finally looked up at the finished nails, I was shocked.
I started crying, but I didn’t have time to get them fixed, so I just left $20 and walked out.
What upset me the most was that while I was crying, the technician told me I should have booked with a “top master.” First of all, no one told me about this option beforehand. Second, not being a “top master” doesn’t mean you can do such careless work.
She spent 3.5 hours on my nails, and I ended up having to spend my entire vacation with them looking terrible. At checkout, the receptionist even told me I didn’t have to pay, but I couldn’t just leave like that, so I gave $20. My friends say I shouldn’t have...
Read moreI had an appointment for lash lamination at 1 PM today, and when I arrived they told me, “Oh, we’re so sorry, but we can’t take you right now because our specialist has left.” When I asked why they couldn’t warn me, they said, “Oh, she literally just left a minute ago.”
That’s a lie, because when I came in, she most likely was already gone — I didn’t see anyone leaving. They also told me that the specialist had some urgent matters, so she had to leave, but I find this unacceptable. They could have warned me right away when I arrived, or even earlier. She couldn’t have just left without telling anyone — she must have informed her team, so what was the problem in letting me know?
When I came in, they even asked me to wait a couple of minutes, which means they already knew she had left but didn’t know what excuse to come up with. They offered to reschedule me for tomorrow or next week, but I refused, because as an apology for wasting my time today I didn’t get anything. I specifically wanted the procedure today because I needed it, and I wasn’t agreeing to another day. In the end, I just found another specialist, which was...
