Stay away from them. I got my lipo done 3 months ago. No happy with my results and no Happy with their customer service. LAUREN the consultant is a thief I paid my procedure in full t. She stole My money from part of the treatment that the surgeon recommended not to get done. It's been over 3 months and No phone calls answered, no email replied. No manager to talk to. And finally they called me to say that the Manhattan location is permanently closed. All my follow up are on Long Island now .. what a lie the location is still open.
One year after Warning: My Nightmare Experience at Sono Bello
I had an extremely disappointing experience with Sono Bello, and I feel compelled to share my story to warn others.
My journey started with a consultation with Lauren, who created a surgical plan that I trusted. She insisted on immediate payment, and I was excited about the procedure—believing I was in good hands. She promised skin removal, liposuction, and chin liposuction, which made me feel confident moving forward.
However, just a few days before my surgery, I met with my surgeon, who disagreed with Lauren’s plan. The surgeon advised that skin removal was unnecessary and recommended laser treatments for skin tightening after surgery instead. The skin removal procedure was quoted at around $5,000, but I had already paid , which created confusion and concern. I tried repeatedly to contact Lauren to clarify what would happen with the payment, but she was always busy and unresponsive. I decided to focus on my surgery and deal with the financial matters later.
After my recovery, I chased Lauren for over three months to get any updates or responses—without success. It wasn’t until I involved a lawyer that I finally received any communication.
A year has now passed, and I can honestly say I’ve wasted my money. There are no visible results—no fat reduction, no change in size or shape. I was told I would see some skin tightening and fat loss, but I saw none. Comparing my results with a close friend who underwent similar procedures elsewhere, I can confidently say I received no real benefit.
Additionally, follow-up appointments were initially scheduled in NYC, but suddenly, I was told I had to go to the Long Island location instead—without explanation. I suspect this was due to my repeated attempts to get answers about my refund. Overall, I do not recommend Sono Bello. Their work ethic seems dishonest, and I experienced significant communication issues, lack of results, and poor customer service. Please do your research carefully before considering this place.

Read moreI heard great things about the Company as a whole and even looked up some youtube videos where people had got the procedure done. So the only conclusion I can come to is that this location in NYC is TRASH. The binder they give you right after the procedure is extremely rough and ripped up my skin giving me permanent scars on my butt and upper back that I didn't even notice till I took the first shower after the procedure (the meds were covering the pain of it). They do not give you comprehensive advisements on what you will have to do post procedure, like how you not only have to drain your points of incisions but also will have to get venus treatments to help alleviate the ugly scar tissue the procedure creates. Before they even finalize a payment for the procedure they should tell people in the consultation how much additional fees you will have to pay just to get the best healing process and hopefully not come out a lumpy-dumpy mess. They offer to redo the surgery if you're unsatisfied but understand that you will have to do that whole grueling, hellish process again and pay for more Venus Treatments to hopefully break down the scar tissue issue, so it's just more money in the pockets while you're hoping "this time" turns out well or better.
It's an expensive and time consuming process and still requires alot of exercise and diet changes to make sure results stay. It's not a quick fix nor will it work easily for those who have unhealthy 9-5 jobs and other obligations that can affect their process. I've heard good things about other locations in the U.S. but this NYC one isn't it. Some of the workers, nurses and even the secretaries upfront are very rude and condescending to the clientele, and lack compassion that this is your body that you trusted them with and they failed you. Imagine paying over $13,000 for a procedure that left you more permanently and mentally scarred than you ever were before. I regret going to this location and wish I could get my money back. I hope somebody sues them for their apathy and damages they done because they use cheap materials (like the rough, skin-disfiguring burlap sack they called a binder) when dealing with their patients/clients. Trash location and Trash services. 10/10 do...
Read moreBe careful. Fine print says you are responsible for $2495 for pre surgery-fee visit once scheduled, even if u later cancel the procedure altogether. I was given the option of paying in weekly installments and paid a total of approx $1300 of that. When I canceled they said, 'ok but you know you still owe 2495 for the pre-surgical visit since you attend it'. I did NOT recall hearing that in the pre or post sale pitch/discussion, which means it was not mentioned; however I was advised it was documented in the contract I e-signed. When I complained, the consultant s/w Mgmt and they ended up waiving the balance. Also, PLEASE read the BBB reviews before you schedule so you don't end up disappointed with the way ur body looks even 6-12 months after the procedure. As I mentioned, I followed my intuition and canceled my loan and the procedure 1 week prior to surgery date. As a result, I feel like I saved myself financial hardship, as well as health & body-related hardships. In fact, I give glory to God for giving me the hunch. Btw when u go on BBB, click on Complaints where they are up to date, even as of this month of July, 2025. There are no reviews there..only Complaints. Bro..I feel like I dodged a bullet! I was introduced to Sonobello through a promotional email offering a limited time free consultation. If ur on the up and up in the uber-profitable & vain market of NYC, you wouldn't need promotionals..just word of mouth. I missed that clue & it cost me a little bit in upfront fees. I lost that battle, but in the end I won the war. (ps., also check out Quora or Reddit reviews)♡ UPDATE: I have since had resolution with Sonobello via their Patient Specialsts, Abby & Stephanie. I requested reimbursement for the pre-surgical fees and it was fulfilled. They were both very professional, understanding and pleasant to deal with. I did not have the Sonobello treatment done but based on the true customer care and consideration given to me, I am increasing my...
