I really wish 0 stars was an option. Let me start off by saying, I love to try new experiences, especially group classes such as Pilates, Zumba, kickboxing etc.. Unfortunately my experience at my first soul cycle class was probably the worst experience Iāve ever had. I left crying, feeling defeated and honestly never going back. Upon entering, things were fine. Welcoming front desk, great, checked in and book I was ready to go. I do personally believe, as a first timer there should be assistance in setting up to make sure the person is positioned correctly, feet clipped in, etc. but no, I struggled so terribly but eventually got myself clipped in but I donāt think the height of the seat was correct for me. About 15 minutes in, I was not peddling extremely fast but my knees gave out and I tumbled forward, hitting my right knee and struggled to pick my body weight up. NO ONE noticed, nor even paid attention. I do believe instructors should be aware or maybe an assistant incase of emergencies. I felt unseen, thankfully I am strong enough to lift myself but I am in pain. I wanted to cry but decided to slowly peddle the rest of the class. My leg is now swelling and Iām making my way to urgent care. I left weak and did not enjoy this experience whatsoever. I did not āpushā myself or keep up at that. Iām embarrassed at this whole experience. Never returning. Soul cycle, please pay more attention to...
Ā Ā Ā Read moreIf I could give negative stars I would!!! This evening I took my 1st class with Claire and sat in bike 28. I will start from the beginning I arrived and was advised to go to the locker room to find my name. My name was not listed. An employee was in the locker room and simply said oh pick a locker we have no more cards. I tried to move past the unwelcoming feeling. I than spent almost 10 minutes trying to snap in my left shoes and the shoes was damaged and needed to be changed exactly as the class was starting. Keep on mind I am a beginner and already anxious and annoyed. After leaving the class with my 2 friends we checked the application and they received stats for their ride. I called thinking maybe it was a delay and was informed by a female that bike 28 did not work so. I explained that I was a beginner and that this experience was horrible. The female work answer "what do you want me to do the bike did not work. If there is anything else I can help you with let me know". Hands down the worst experience I have ever had from...
Ā Ā Ā Read moreIāve been an avid spinner for 2 years now and checked out Soul Cycle at this location for the first time. Itās A-okay!
After check in, there isnāt ample help with the bikes themselves and the instructor Noa doesnāt explain any of the moves on the bike. Though this didnāt cause any issues for me, I imagine this might make it tough for beginners. 2 of the beginners around me didnāt know where the weights were because itās not explained to beginners as itās all a rush when class starts. The class intensity was around a 2/5. I will say, the instructor Noa was motivational in regards to life lessons and tried his best, which I appreciated.
On the other hand, I loved instructor Andrewās class and hope heās on the schedule more often! Heās high energy and hilarious.
Negatives are that the gym is unpleasantly crowded and dare I say, had a planet fitness feel instead of a boutique and upscale bike studio (considering the...
