As a New Yorker, born and raised, I love traveling around the city, always on the hunt for a great slice of pizza. I’m a big pizza guy, so I’m pretty selective about where I go for a slice. I used to spend a lot of time in downtown Brooklyn, especially since I’d hit the gym there, and naturally, I had to scope out the best nearby pizza spots. I’d often walk past Piz-zetta, wondering what kind of pizza wonders they had in store. Since I was already in the area, I finally decided to give it a go. The moment I stepped through the doors, I felt an instant sense of warmth—like walking into your parents’ house just before supper. The old-school New York vibe was unmistakable. My go-to pizza picks are a classic cheese and a Margherita. Not many places can truly perfect the balance of fresh, sweet tomato sauce, mozzarella, and fragrant basil, all sitting atop a light, crispy crust—but Piz-zetta absolutely nailed it. I appreciated the pizza so much that I had to go back for another slice. Beyond the food, the people here were incredibly welcoming, making me feel right at home. It was a real pleasure to experience both the atmosphere and the flavors this place had to offer. I highly recommend checking out their website to read about the history of this pizzeria, from its origins to where it stands today. You can really see the love and effort that goes into every pizza they make. I can’t wait to go back for another slice-but that’ll have to wait for another day. Do yourself a favor and get...

Piz-zetta Pizzeria, a bustling spot right on my block, was a place I'd always noticed but never ventured into, assuming it couldn't possibly live up to the hype. How wrong I was! Hunger led me there recently, and I discovered it's not just good—it's outstanding. The pizza here redefines the New York style by going super thin, allowing the toppings to shine through with vibrant flavors, not overshadowed by dough. This nuanced approach to a classic makes every bite a revelation of taste and texture. The atmosphere within Piz-zetta is as delightful as its food. The staff exude genuine kindness, contributing to a welcoming, unpretentious vibe that’s rare and refreshing. It's clear that Piz-zetta isn't trying to be anything more than what it is: an excellent local pizza spot, and it succeeds wonderfully.I'm now a convert and a fan, regretting only that I didn't try it sooner. Piz-zetta Pizzeria has quickly become a favorite of mine, and I look forward to many more visits. For anyone in the neighborhood or beyond, do not make the same mistake I did; try it out and prepare to be...
Read moreI came here with a friend, and we got a medium half and half margherita and meatlovers. We waited for a bit for the pizza to come out, but once it did, it was piping hot! It was about $20 post-tax (although come to think of it, each one is $16 pre-tax so I'm not sure why it came out to be $20 post-tax - was there a charge for doing half and half?!), which is about right for pizza nowadays. I liked the chewy crust, and the bottom of the pizza was solid and didn't get soggy. I didn't really taste the pesto drizzle on the margherita though, which I thought was odd. I did like the cheese and the tomato sauce, though the flavor could have been bolder. The meatlovers was very mediocre, as the meat didn't really taste great. The flavors for both were a bit on the lighter side. Good portions though for the price (8 pretty good-sized slices), and the interior is spacious and...
