Alright now that I don't work here anymore the whole truth about what goes on behind the scenes here shall shine!
Lisa Conti, the freakishly ugly rhino-looking valium head who runs the cash register up front first of all thinks she's sixteen-years-old and loves to gossip about other employees and customers. Plus she is rude to the customers. She has dodged many bullets with HR and is a world class bully. She would corner me and threaten me with my job if I forgot to do even the most minuscule thing such as cleaning a toilet bowl knob.
SECONDLY you never get complimented or appreciated for your hard work at this job. Nothing goes appreciated. You only get yelled at more. Nothing is ever good enough and management is miserable. They have these cute and rather adolescent âteam meetingsâ which always mess up the morning setup because itâs a complete waste of time and it occurs fifteen minutes for opening. Fake laughter. Fake cheers. Fake excitement.
I did my God damn job for the customers.
That very misery that the management carries- they love to rub off on the employees. Whatever stress the manager may be going through is completely brushed on to the employees they dislike the most. Bullying and favoritism is a H-U-G-E issue here.
The greatest employees are never treated with gratitude and/or promoted. A great worker who had been there 2 years would be ignored and the managerial position would go to that younger guy who just got off parole a week ago. Plus he only has that energy because he would do mad blow in the bathroom every day.
The employees (and I speak on behalf of the whole team there) are slaved, yelled at, treated like animals and are paid a whopping $13 for their hard work.
HR is never there (to answer the phone) for you and they always take management's side so they are useless.
I donât even care about how unprofessional this seems, it...
Read moreI had honeygrow for the first time today. My meal was GOOD. I mean, really good. I ordered the CYO stir-fry with egg white noodles, roasted shrimp, organic baby spinach, scallions, parsley, herbed Parmesan breadcrumbs, and avocado in the red coconut curry sauce. I also ordered the strawberry guava lemonade as a drink. The flavors and textures of my stir fry order went together beautifully. I love the red coconut curry sauce. Not overpowering at all.
I also ordered the herbed focaccia bread.
The reason my rating is 4 stars is because:
Price. Regardless of the add ons, the stir fry alone was $20.88. It comes in a box that isnât too big. Itâs not tiny, but for the price I wouldâve liked a bit larger portion. Seems a bit overpriced.
The bread. The herbed bread didnât wow me. I was expecting a much stronger aroma/taste of whatever herbs they used in the bread. Wouldâve also been better if the bread was warm.
I normally try to take pictures of my meal, but I was so excited to taste the food that I remembered to take the picture half-way through the stir fry box.
I absolutely would recommend eating here, just be mindful of the price. The taste is excellent and I do love their claim to use locally grown ingredients. Their packaging is...
Read moreI would like to have given this five stars because the food is fresh, well-prepared, and tasty. Service is swift. The location is great if you're near Borough Hall in Brooklyn.
But we arrived after a long day walking around 845pm. The door said they were open until 10pm. So we went to the kiosk and placed our order to dine in before 9pm, an hour before they closed.
There were people in the dining room (seat yourself) so we sat down.
We were eating when around 9:10 a staff member came out to tell us the dining room was closed and we had to leave.
I protested and said the sign showed that they closed at ten, and that it was almost an hour later.
The staff member was not happy, said some more, and left.
We tried to eat quickly and left around 9:20, very unhappy at how we were treated.
I can imagine that there might be a policy to close the dining room early, but this wasn't posted and wasn't presented to us when we ordered from the kiosk to "dine in."
All in all, the rush to eat, the manner with which we were treated, and the lack of understanding that we didn't know their rules spoiled the meal.
As much as the food was tasty, the service was so unfriendly that we...
