I really wanted to like this place! The "yoga" is in name only. There is a statue of Buddha but there is not a hint of anything spiritual about barking teachers, loud EDM and multi-colored lights. Not my vibe, sorry! First week, there was no hot water in the showers-mentioned it to 3 staff members and nothing was done about it until I emailed the CEO. One staff member tried to gaslight me by saying the water really wasn't cold but room temp. Sorry, I am paying 290/month and having hot water is a reasonable expectation. Then for 2 months in a row, they charged me for the unlimited membership a few days before they were supposed to. The first time, my checking account was overdrawn. The second time, it caused me an embarrassing situation. Instead of fixing the issue, they passed it off on a computer glitch. The manager Charlotte emailed me saying she will let corporate know if it happens again. So I have to wait for it to happen a third time before you do anything????? I was rightfully angry about it but I felt like I was being incredibly patient with the manager. She started to gaslight me by saying I was being "aggressive" to staff. No I was angry but never yelled or cursed at anybody. Anyway, I have learned my lesson about corporate national chain "yoga" studios. Small, locally owned studios with a healthy spiritual take on Yoga is the way...
Read moreI’ve been practicing yoga for over 10 years, but this past June was my first time stepping into a hot yoga studio, and I don’t regret it one bit.
From the moment I walked into HOT 8 Yoga, it felt like a wellness retreat. The studio is spotless, the air feels fresh and clean (thanks to advanced heating and UV-C filtration), and the atmosphere is both energizing and calming.
The variety of classes impressed me. Whether it’s a challenging Sculpt or Power session, the meditative 26 & 2 flow, or a gentle Yin class for recovery, there’s truly something for everyone. Personally, Sculpt and Power have become my favorites.
The experience doesn’t end on the mat after class; you can enjoy hot showers with eco-friendly products, eucalyptus towels, filtered water, and secure lockers. Every detail encourages self-care.
The staff and instructors go above and beyond. No matter the time of day, they’re professional, warm, and welcoming. Their Welcome Week deal ($40 for 7 days unlimited) was a great way to try everything.
Yes, it’s a premium studio after the intro offer, it’s $40 per class or a membership, but if you’re consistent, it’s worth every penny. Between the physical results, mental clarity, and sense of community, HOT 8 Yoga truly delivers an exceptional experience from start to finish. Highly recommend for both seasoned yogis and...
Read moreLove that this West Coast franchise made its way to the East Coast, with Bklyn Heights as its first location here! The facilities are cozy and the staff are nice. It was my first time trying Hot Barre. The class itself was fun and challenging, in a good way. Our instructor, Mackenzie, had such great energy and did her best to encourage us to keep our spirits lifted while the rest of us were powering through. The room did get quite hot for me, so I had to step out to refresh myself since I ended up drinking all my water, WHEW! The lockers took a bit to get the hang of. It'd be nice if there were instructions somewhere accessible / on the inside of the lockers. The studio itself was a bit tight (typical nyc space though), as the Women's locker room was cozy and only has 2 showers. I also wish that there were additional info on what not to bring into the room (I.e. no phones + no need for socks) bc a bunch of us had to go back to put our stuff away. I did really like that the bathrooms had lady toiletries to freshen ourselves up, which is convenient! Also LOVED the cold eucalyptus towels and prompt staff that...
