SPA 45 — Local services in New York

Ok so I normally don’t write reviews, but my experience was so uncomfortable that I have to share. First of all my masseuse’s name was Andy. I’ve been to him at least 3x before and never had this experience. However yesterday when I went I was very uncomfortable. I booked a full back massage & when it came time to adjust my underwear to massage the lower back… he pulled my panties alllll the way down below my Butt. Then when he started massaging…his hands went so deep into the inside of the crack of my Butt that I was like “woahhh “in my head. I didn’t say anything at first cause I didn’t want to seem dramatic, but then I felt like his hands kept getting closer and closer to my private parts. Then he asked me “ you ok ?” Then I said “ can you stay up here” and pointed to the top of my butt. Then when I turned around to massage the front… first he stated off with scalp. Then he made his way to my ears.. literally fondling the insides of ear. Again in my head I was like “ this is weird but ok”. Thennn as he’s massaging my neck … his hands makes his way under the towel I had covering my breast & he started massaging my breast. Literally touching my nipples. Out of all of the MANY massages I’ve had in my life I’ve never had a masseuse touch my Breast. He even said “ oh “ and laughed cause he felt my nipple piercings. I left that massage confused & wondering if I was actually violated or was I being dramatic. After processing this massage 24 hours later Im sure that all of that was inappropriate . Never...

So first let me debunk the 10 dollar tip minimum rule. Not true! I too came expecting to be hassled for a tip at the end but I was not, the receptionist didn't say one word to me, she just sat there and smiled, because of this I did give the 10 dollar tip, because it was earned. Sophia gave me the BEST massage that 45 dollars could ever buy. She was so good that I didn't want it to end, I was literally in heaven through the entire experience! I cannot believe this place is not more well known, but I am glad, it'll be our little secret. The place is stunning, very clean, nice music, low lights. Sophia is PROFESSIONAL, her technique, unmatched! I've been too many massage parlors and I know a professional when I see one! Oh and not to mention I called many places this day to get a last minute appt, spa 45 was the ONLY place to take me right away, 15 minutes after calling. I especially love that the front desk associate eagerly took the 10 dollars from the register to prepare for Sophia, it was like she wanted her to be tipped!! The massage was great! What I did not like was the fact that they want to charge you a $4 transaction fee for using a debit/credit card without this being posted! They have that there is a $10 min to use card but not this, then they want to charge me two fees because I was paying for myself and another person, I asked why? It's one transaction that you are performing. Now they didn't understand English. Then I wanted to tip the lady who performed the massage, after paying another woman runs behind me telling me " to tip now because I'm busy" I said I would like to tip the woman who performed the service, and they said no you have to tip $10 for each of us that I paid for. They then showed me a "SUGGESTED" Tip notice, I told them that this said suggested NOT mandatory! I didn't like the fact that then they went and got some man to stand by the desk as if we were not going to be let out. I'm not sure if I will be back.
