I’m very picky when it comes to getting a haircut; even a buzz cut. When I first moved to the neighborhood I set out to find a solid local barber. In the past, I would have to travel far to go to my favorite shop. Lucky for me that was no longer the case. My friend recommended First Class Barbershop so I gave it a shot.

The very first moment I stepped into the shop I was greeted with kindness. Nick was available so I sat in his chair and off we went. I used to get a fade, and to anyone who knows about fades, you can’t just go anywhere. Nick was not only skillful and precise but he was kind. For 20 minutes we had small talk and got to know each other a bit but most importantly my hair was looking great.

This was Friday and having a full schedule I figured that I wouldn't have time to get there for an appointment. On Sunday morning I checked their website and noticed that they opened at 10am so I went over and was the first customer with Sam. He was absolutely the best both in terms of the haircut I received and his charming personality. The morning was pouring rain but her made it one of the best experiences I had in town that weekend as we discussed everything from living in the city to family to politics and more.
