Spectrum Store — Local services in New York

Today my husband and I had an adventure trying to obtain a new phone. Unfortunately, my husband lost his phone and needed a replacement. We went to the Spectrum in Springfield Spectrum and the customer representative recommended we go to another Spectrum as they did not have the specific phone in stock. We then went to Spectrum on Atlantic Avenue and we were told by the guard that Spectrum has moved to Queens Village. The parking was atrocious, so we drove to Spectrum on Austin Street. My husband was prepared to pay for the phone but the customer representative stated that the card did not go through after she swiped it two more times without telling us. My husband called the bank and the representative stated that nothing is wrong with his card but there are three pending charges on his account. We left Austin Spectrum without a phone and good customer service. The sales rep was not empathetic and did not make an effort to troubleshoot the matter. She was not helpful at all. I am not sure if we plan to stick with Spectrum. Our intent is to return to T-Mobile as we never had an issue like this before.

Part 2- So today, my husband still did not have a phone. From Saturday the three charges of $320.00 was still pending. My husband believed that could no longer be with out a cell phone, so he paid for the lost cell phone via phone and went Spectrum on Jamaica Avenue. The customer representative at Jamaica Avenue stated that he did not pay for the phone. He informed the representative that it was paid via phone. We contacted customer service and the representative stated that the charge was still pending. We decided that there was too much drama with Spectrum when it pertained to cell phones, so we went to T-Mobile Metro, purchased two new phone and opened our account. There was no issue with the card being blocked or waiting for a pending charge. We received everything we need with no stress. Finally, after a week my husband has a cell phone. Worst costumer service ever. I really don’t like writing bad reviews but the one who treat me that unprofessional way should stop doing to other people. His name was Emanuel. Me: Hi my spectrum bill went up this month can you show me please the reason Emanuel : Ohhh yes is 30$ because of service Me : Is not 30$ but 38$ and can you please explain all the details opening my account Emanuel : I don’t need to because I know. Me ; How do you know my bill without opening my account, and you just said something is not true 30$. Could you please open my account and explain in details the reason why my bill went 38$ hoger then previous month? Emanuel: What’s your phone numbers after he checked my account explain that was not 30$ but 38$ and the reason was my promotion has expire…. We couldn’t believe why he didn’t want to check the account and be so short with us with yes , no I know…?!?! Hope and wish he can explain to his supervisor or managers because we decide to return the box and cut off service with Spectrum after 7 years paying everything in time…… Now am adding review and after a great experience with costumer service we sign again with Spectrum and we are so happy that a guy who help us Luca an amazing amazing very very helpful and kind …...

I subscribed to Spectrum Residential TV/Internet Services in Oct/2022 when I moved in to a new apartment. You get to choose 15 à la carte cable channels, Spectrum throws in available local channels, and with Internet service, for $119.98 a month for 12 months. But curiously, Spectrum increased my monthly bill to $122.40 only after 4 months in Feb/2023. I must say I was not entirely surprised, as this is a typical practice of deceptive advertising used by most American institutions to attract the public by offering low initial subscription prices and then increasing them shortly thereafter.
